How do I calculate my energy usage savings month to month, compared to last
year (pre insulation upgrades,) when the monthly average temperature is
different.
Example: 2007, use 110 ccf, 33 bill days, 34 degree avg. temp. 2006 use
86, 31 days, 42 degrees.

Doris,
You have to get the weather data and see how many heating-degree days each day was that you are trying to compare. If the thermostat setting was not constant on all days, you can't do the calculations.

Tim - thanks for your quick reply. With all the push to insulate, etc. how
can any company/gov. say you will save a certain % by doing xyz. Just
pondering.... Love your site!
