D.,
I would read the instructions and not proceed until you had a clear understanding of exactly what to do.

Hi,
Thanks for this great posting! We would like to work on enhancing our curb appeal and it sounds like fiberglass window boxes are the right choice. Would these type work on a house made of aluminum siding? Also, I'm somewhat nervous about the installation. Do you recommend that we have someone professionally install them? Do you recommend any particular brand of high-quality windowboxes?
Thanks for your help!

AM,
They will work on aluminum siding. You have to bolt the hangers to the studs. Simple. Just follow the instructions.

I live in an historic brick rowhouse. I'd love to have flower boxes, but I don't want to drill into the brick. Are there brackets that can be installed over the sill and under the window, similar to brackets used to attach flower boxes to deck rails?

I am interested in purchasing these excellent sounding window boxes, however, where can one get them? Are they available at Rona?

Where can I find these fiberglass window boxes? I've been to three garden centers and to Lowe's, and no one has them. I've seen the flimsy plastic window boxes, but none of these places even sells brackets for mounting to windows, just for deck rails. Very frustrating!!
