Summary: The final construction phase of your screen porch is here! Matching your roof to the roof pitch of your home is recommended. Plan ahead for electrical needs in your new "outdoor" haven, and think ahead, as well, on the finish of your screen porch. Paint the wood before you assemble, and you will save yourself many headaches...and unwanted embellishment on your face!

Dear Tim: We have stained new (eastern) redwood T&G planks and installed
them on our porch ceilings. We were advised to use CWFUV sealer which we
believe to be overkill since it will not be exposed to sun or rain. Any
advice on a sealer for just this area?

Tanya,
I personally would not use anything. They are protected from water and sun!
If you have to use something, go read all of my Deck-Sealing columns to
discover what I like. It will really be worth your while.
