Summary: Following is a list of the major manufacturers of solid surface countertop materials. Look at their web sites and be sure to check the specification sheets. These sheets usually describe the composition and materials used in the product. This is important, as you should try to determine which material has the highest percentage of acrylic plastic.

I had new solid surface countertops installed today in my kitchen, but was disappointed in the cloudy appearance. It looks dusty as if it needs a good cleaning, but the cloudiness is in the finish itself. The installer said it was just the color I chose, but it looks like an old or from a bad lot. What do you think? Thanks!
