I have 110" space available between door header across ceiling to the back
end of the drive housing. The old door opener was chain drive, low ceiling
track height profile, and a "folded" drive mechanism that was offset from
the track and did not extend behind the end of the metal track.
The door is double-wide wood construction with extension springs --
balanced to about 25# lift weight with mid-opening stationary position. The
minimum top of door clearance is about 3". Fully open, the top of the door
extends about 84" away from the door header.
Is there a commercially available drive/track system that will fit within
110" and 3" door height clarance.
Thanks

H Labadorf,
There may be. Call two or three professionals, have them stop by and see what they propose to do to make you happy.

The builder of our home put in the wrong garage door opener. We have a beam
in our ceiling. The current one a Genie was installed above the garage door
on the wall backwards. I had someone come out to fix what we had and was
told by Genie and the repair person that the Genie was not supposed to be
installed in our garage, therefore the warranty is void and it will keep
not working. I was told I need to get a Wayne Dalton iDrive Torsion. My
husband and I don't know what to do. We don't know who to believe. Please
tell us what the proper garage door opener is for our garage. Thank you!
