Hello Tim, about ten years ago their was an LA Times writer that wrote a book about internet startups and one of the people she featured was a builder that had a site similar to yours. Was it you and if it was do you know the name of that book or the write. I am interested in finding the book to give to a friend. I hope this is no bother to you. I look forward to hearing back either way.

John,
I believe I know the book: StrikingitRich.com. It was written by Ms. Jaclyn Easton. She is based in LA and her bio says she was a columnist for the LA Times. I am very proud to say AsktheBuilder.com was the *first* chapter in this NY Times bestseller book! My guess is you can find copies in used bookstores via amazon.com.

Hi Tim, thanks for visiting SiteRoast.com. I'm glad you liked our review of your site and I encourage you to come back and visit again.

If you happened to look around at all, I'm sure you saw that SiteRoast is still very much a work in progress, but I'm confident you'll find it useful as we're able to add more content.

For what it's worth, I think you'd be happy to hear your site was the second site we selected to review.

Thanks for supporting SiteRoast.com and we hope to hear from you again!

I was curious as to if you have upcoming events listed on your web site? Also, are you willing to post others events on your site?

I have very little hot water pressure. I assume there is a clog in the gas water heater. How do I eliminate the obstuction?

Tammy,
I doubt the problem is in the heater. Please go read all of my past Water Pressure columns. There are quite a few. Be sure to read all of the comments at each column.

I have some book shelves to be put on the wall. The uprights for the shelves are about 39 inches apart. Our studs are 16 inches on center. The walls are plaster. What is the best way to put these shelves on the wall so that they are supported by the studs.

I am getting ready to remodel. Which do we do first? The walls and ceilings are all going to be painted.New flooring will also be put in with new shoe molding.

Hi, Tim,
I live in a 97 year old house. I have good water pressure everwhere except in the kitchen. For some reason, the water is very low pressure there. What could be the cause(s) and what can I do about them? Thanks

Tim:
Just purchased an aeromatic cedar picnic table/benches. They seem to have had a sealer applied upon completion. The absorbtion of the sealer is spotty. Should a lightly sand and apply linseed oil? Or shall I say, what, if anything should I do?
Does aeromatic cedar absorb differntly than other woods?

Don't teach the home owners to put a pressure washer on there roofs! Roof cleaning can be done with a water hose! Its soft wash roof cleaning! We do it everyday. Pressure washers damage roofs and don't get them very clean! www.palmettoroofrestoration.com

Tim touches on the possible damage of using a pressure washer on a roof in his video on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MiGrLcS-gE

A lot of the comments with the video explain his concerns and recommendations about using a power washer.
