Hi, I'm Tim Carter from AskTheBuilder.com and I've got a really neat tool that I need to show you
0:09
It's one that's absolutely necessary around every job site as far as I'm concerned
0:13
And this tool, it's going to put you in a good mood. That's why it's important. Let's take a look
0:20
This is the Makita LXR-MO3 Job Site Radio and it is a beauty
0:27
Look at this. Really handsome, very rugged, great sound, and it's a multi-powered audio device is all I can tell you
0:39
This particular device, it of course, not only is it an AM and FM radio, but if you have an iPhone, an iPod, any other MP3 player
0:49
it will take that input and you can play the tunes from those devices
0:53
It of course has five preset buttons down here to preset radio stations that you like either AM or FM It got an alarm clock It got timers
1:06
So if you've got to be somewhere at the job site, make maybe another appointment
1:10
you can set a timer to remind you, and it'll count down, and the buzzer will go off
1:15
Very, very nice feature. If you do have an MP3 player, this is where the audio input goes
1:21
It runs right now off an 18-volt lithium-ion battery, but if you want to power it with 110 volts, the little transformer cord plugs in there
1:30
And of course, this little lid at the top, you just flip it open
1:34
and there's the docking station for the iPhone or the iPod. Very, very nice
1:41
And of course, in the back here, very simple. It's very easy to get access
1:46
There's the 18-volt lithium-ion battery that's powering it right now. It can go for many, many hours with that
1:51
It will also take the older you can hardly see it but if you have the older style Makita batteries they fit in there as well And there is a full battery compartment here so not full batteries I can just pull up your preset radio information
2:07
Very, very nice. Very, very nice. So, I say we take it for a test drive, and let's see how the thing sounds
2:18
What do you say? So what do you think
2:35
That was some pretty good sound. And you know who should know about radios? Me
2:39
Why? I'm a ham radio operator. And I have to tell you, this is a pretty nice radio
2:45
You know, I can't talk around the world with it, but that's okay. It's a great receiver
2:50
So if you want to know more about this Makita radio, just go look at it
2:55
I'm going to warn you. You really going to like it Better keep that credit card handy because you probably going to use it I Tim Carter Whiskey 3 Alpha Tango Bravo and I going to be clear on your final for
