Well, the screen says that we're live
0:04
Let's see if it's true. I imagine so. I am Tim Carter
0:12
This is Ask the Builder. That's who I am. I'm the Ask the Builder guy
0:17
And I am here today. And we're going to talk about how to clean a toilet
0:26
That's just one of the things we're going to talk about. I'm sure we're going to talk about a lot of things
0:31
And you're the one who controls the, you're the one who controls where we go
0:37
I say that tons of times. If you are watching this live stream after it was recorded
0:44
then you need to understand that if you happen to tune in one day when the stream's live
0:51
that all you have to do is type into the chat, whatever question you have about any part of your house
0:58
how to do anything, and I'll do my best answer it. That's why I'm here. That's why I do the
1:02
live streams One of the things I going to talk about if you are you might be a regular who is watching all the time And yesterday afternoon late in the stream yesterday I gave it was completely unscripted completely random
1:23
I gave you a gift. I gave you access to a story that I had
1:30
basically it's a chapter in a book that I'm writing for my daughter. And I don't know if you went and read it or not
1:38
But anyway, if you have not done it, go back to yesterday's live stream and kind of way down in the chat
1:48
Eventually, as you advance through, you'll see that link to that story
1:55
Hey, Will, how you're doing? Yeah, I got your photos. They're great. I'm hoping
1:59
I responded back to your email, so check it when you can. It looks like you had the inside of that pot wet
2:08
And I'm wondering if you could kind of let it dry and maybe kind of angle it
2:14
Don't use a flashlight because that's too harsh. But I'm really trying to actually, the photo you sent may be the best you can get
2:22
because it just like the sides of that pot are black I mean and I seen that before I seen photos from other customers But you are not going to believe it going to be brand new when you follow my instructions
2:36
I sent you an email back that tells you exactly how to clean that coffee pot
2:42
You're going to be blown away. It's going to look like the day you took it out of the box
2:49
Okay. So before we're going to further, I want to go ahead and talk about, remember
2:55
No matter what I'm going to talk about now, if you have a question about something else, feel free to ask any question
3:04
It doesn't matter what it is. It can be how to put a new roof on, how to fix a garage door, how to fix a squeaky floor, how to patch drywall, how to put down vinyl asbestos tile, how to deal with asbestos, blah, blah, blah, but it doesn't matter
3:22
So whatever question you have, just put it in the chat. And what I try to do is I'm now trying to talk about the main topic right away so that I don't frustrate people after the fact who watch this live stream when it's a curated video
3:37
So we're going to talk about how to clean a toilet. So it really the biggest problem that most people have that have to look this up I feel I think what it is just a feeling I have It kind of speculation is that they have let their toilet bowl go too long and then they try to clean it and they don get really great results because it got really dirty
4:04
There are all types of things that can stain a toilet. You can have iron in the water
4:11
You can have just things in the water that will cause discoloration
4:18
You can have very hard water, like the people down in the southwest, you know, Arizona and New Mexico, they can have really hard water
4:27
And there's other parts in the nation that have very hard water, too. And you can get a real thin layer of hard water deposits that actually build up on the
4:37
sides of the bowl. Because think about it. Each time you flush the toilet, it washes the
4:44
sides of the toilet bowl, and then they're wet. I mean, it's a real thin film of water. And then
4:52
I don't know what. How long do you think it takes for that water to evaporate? I don't know
