It's time to glue the pipe into the those two 45 degree angles and here's how you do it. You have
0:11
to have PVC primer and you have to have PVC glue. You have to make sure that there's no dirt oil or
0:18
anything on the pipes. You just have to be clean. You apply the primer to both the end of the pipe
0:23
and to the inside of the hub. Then you have to apply the PVC glue to the end of
0:31
the pipe and the inside of the fitting hub. You then push the pipe into the hub
0:38
twist it a little bit, and then hold it for a good five seconds, maybe ten
0:43
seconds, because the hubs have a slight taper to them and if you don't hold it
0:48
the pipe could actually come out an eighth or quarter of an inch. I've got
0:53
the pipe in. It's time now to glue this up and put this in place. And I'll show you the
1:00
finished product when it's done, but we're going to do the exact same things. We're going to prime it glue it push everything together make sure we hold it and magic going to happen Oh it all in It awesome and I just checked it with a template and guess what It right on
1:19
the money. In case yours is off just a little bit in a concrete slab like this, realize that before
1:25
you pour the concrete there's a little bit of flex with a pipe and you can move it maybe a little
1:31
bit one way or the other, put in a copper pipe or just somehow put in something to shim
1:38
the pipe to get it exactly where you might want it, and then go ahead and pour your concrete
1:42
and everything's going to be fine. The next step we're going to do is I'm going to show you how to fill in the hole and fill
1:48
the gravel around the pipe, and then we have to add some insulation

It's that simple. I'm Tim Carter for AskTheBuilder.com. If you want to discover more home improvement tips, go to AskTheBuilder.com
