Makita 6 Point Socket Set Review

I'm Tim Carter from AskTheBuilder.com and I want to demonstrate for you the Makita 9-piece

3-8-inch drive, 6-point impact socket set. And, boy, that's a mouthful, isn't it? What is it

really? These are just little sockets that will fit onto your impact driver, but it has a kind

of a really neat feature that I think you're really gonna like. Let's look at it. So this

socket set has sockets that range in size from 5 16ths of an inch all the way up to 3

quarters of an inch. It's got a 1 quarter inch hex shank adapter as well. Here's the best part

The quarter inch hex shank adapter has got a little detent ball on it and if you align that

with a little hole inside each socket, guess what? The socket can rotate about 15 degrees

so that you can work in tight areas. It's really a handy feature. Let me show you how these sockets

work, and unfortunately, I don't have a Makita impact driver to use, so I did the next best thing

I looked at the impact drivers that I have and the one that matches the closest is one from Milwaukee and um the makita people they just didn send me an impact driver I don know what to tell you But you know when you look at the two names Makita

and Milwaukee, there are four letters in the Milwaukee name that match up with Makita, or vice versa

So, that's what we're going to use. Look at this. Alright, so that's a pretty handy tool, wouldn't you say

I mean, look at that little guy. I mean, you can see how that moves and works really good on an impact driver

And of course, you know, once again, you just have to rotate this

If you want this to be solid and not really move, it's just a matter of pulling it off the adapter and putting it back on

so that the little ball and the hole don't line up. It's really, really, it's kind of a neat set of little tools
