Closed Captioning Test

Hey, good morning

How do you doing? I am trying, maybe it would help if I type, right

trying to discover how to enable live closed captions. Oh, better spell it right

I have received at least two. emails from viewers who are hearing impaired and they're requesting that I make close captions

available to them. And I maybe this is available in some other live streaming video

I actually just watched a video from a called Boxstream and evidently Boxstream is a video

streaming platform that enables this, but I cannot find this capability here in YouTube

So if you know how to do this let me know I mean send me a link in the chat or whatever but I just decided to kind of enable this live stream right now trying to go through all the menu items see what I see see all the settings that I can click

and I don't see anything where it will create a closed caption of what I say

I'm sure the intelligence, the artificial intelligence exists because I just watched a video

that shows that Boxstream has it. So anyway, It's just a feature set that I hope to add maybe in the next couple of weeks as I dive deeper and deeper into this rabbit hole of live streaming video

I'm going to do a real live stream this afternoon. It's going to be at 4 o'clock Eastern, and I'm going to talk about why your house is cold

Of course, this applies to all the people in the northern hemisphere of the Earthball right now

because the southern hemisphere, they're heading towards summer. I mean, they're already deep into spring

So, you know, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, you know, all the people down south you know lower South America they all experiencing the big warm up All right So here in New Hampshire we going to be experiencing the big snow soon So anyway and I sure we going to do some live streams about that

Kind of an interesting thing, this whole snow. I'm looking at my window now and beautiful fall colors out there

And we just, you know, peak color was about the last, about 10 days ago, but it's still pretty nice out there

Right now, we're actually in. this period, if you know anything about New England, if you've not been here, because of the

variety and the types of trees we have, we actually have two, actually three. We have three

periods of color throughout the year. And the most prominent and most popular one is the one we just

experienced, which is, you know, all the yellows and oranges and reds that we get. And some of them

are just eye-popping. I mean, they're so brilliant. And then that's followed about

week or two later by what I call the browns. And all the trees that still have leaves on them

get all these varying shades of brown. And it's really kind of interesting. It's kind of hard

to capture on the camera But you can actually see it Hey there almost there How are you doing And then in the spring and I never saw this back in Cincinnati where I grew up We have all these different colors of green that happen in May

when the leaves come out. All these very interesting different shades. They're almost

they're almost fluorescent is about the best way to describe it. It's really, same thing. It's very

hard to capture it on camera. I've tried and not been too successful, but boy, my

I sure see it. So anyway, pretty soon though, all the leaves are going to be down

And we're going to get our cover snow. All right. So I just wanted to try to do this test, and I cannot see anything here in the YouTube

dashboard that would allow me to create closed. I mean, think about how that technology, how smart that would have to be

In other words, right as I say something, within a second, it's putting what I'm saying on

the screen. I'm sure it's available. I mean, I know it's available because YouTube has gone back

and they have, they're providing closed captions for all past videos. So the intelligence

exists, be able to listen and then create the closed captions. But right now I'm not seeing

it here at the YouTube dashboard. Okay
