All right, let's see if this is any better. Jeez. So we had a little technical difficulty there
0:08
Um, probably, uh, we lost some people but they'll come back. Let's see
0:14
I, um, I, I clicked the go live button and, um, it just got
0:23
stuck. It just so going live, going live, going live, but it never went live
0:28
So I hit the refresh and killed the flipping live stream. Oh my gosh
0:36
Anyway, I'm here. Oh, technology. Hey. Um
0:45
I got, I got a crazy, uh crazy thought here. This is
0:50
I know this sounds crazy. I mean, you'll think that I have this huge tin hat on
0:55
Uh OK. Um I know this sounds crazy. I mean, it's not really what
1:03
what if the, what if the war in the Ukraine was not real
1:07
not really happening. It was all made up on TV. You know, they made a movie about that years ago with Dustin Hoffman in it
1:13
And, um, um, what's, I forget the other guy's name, the other big actor
1:19
Anyway, it's called Wag the Dog. It's, it's, I mean, you know
1:25
those people tell us what they're gonna do all the time. They tell us all the time
1:29
All right. Um, Jason, what happened is I clicked the go live button and always before
1:39
it spins and like three seconds later it says you're live. But this time it just got
1:45
it just kept stuck. It just said going live, going live, going live. I mean
1:49
it just didn't do anything for 30 40 seconds. So I tried to refresh the page and that killed the screen
1:54
All right. But I'm here now. Um, ok, we're gonna talk a little bit about
2:02
originally. I was gonna talk about deck ceiling and, uh, cleaning and I wanna still do that
2:07
And I have a, uh, pretty unique column that you need to see
2:11
I'm trying to pull up the, uh, URL right now and, um
2:19
this has got a pretty interesting video in it, this video that's in this thing
2:23
You'll see me wearing a firefighter helmet. I happen to have one
2:26
I've got bunker pants. Um, anyway, they're really warm. If you ever wanna wear really warm pants in the winter
2:35
just go to a firehouse and see if you can buy a used set of
2:39
of gear. Actually, if you can buy the firefighter's coat and the pants because remember they're waterproof
2:45
I mean, you couldn't have better gear for, for, for winter wear. So
2:49
if you, and actually if you, I doubt that if you were a stranger, I doubt they'd sell it to you because they might think
2:54
that you're gonna try to impersonate a firefighter but if you know somebody on the fire department or a
2:59
uh, somebody on a volunteer department you might be able to get some. Hey
3:04
Don, how you doing? Hi, Brian. Um, all right. So we're gonna talk
3:09
uh, about a lot of things today, but first I'm gonna talk about debt cleaning and ceiling
3:13
It's really a big topic. Uh, you're not gonna, no one here in New Hampshire's gonna do it for another month
3:19
But people down South Florida, southern tier, southern California, they could be doing it right now
3:26
All right. Um, ok. Um, here's what you need to know if you
3:35
have a traditional wood deck. Most people who have wood decks that need to be clean and sealed
3:39
First of all, we're just gonna talk about wood decks. We'll talk about composites in a minute and as I go along
3:45
if you have any questions about something that I'm saying, just put it in the chat
3:50
All right. So I'm not clairvoyant. All right. And also if you have any other questions about any of the putter house
3:56
put them in the chat, I'll get to him the, um, but for now we're just gonna talk about wood decks and we're
4:02
and primarily we're gonna talk about treated lumber because that makes up a majority of all the decks in the United States
4:08
Um, there aren't that many people that have redwood. There aren't that many people that have cedar
4:13
There aren't that many people that have the expensive um rainforest like I bay and some of the other ones
4:20
uh those are, you know, those are high end products. So let's just talk about first
4:25
the, the, the treated lumber you have, he, he I I'll just
4:30
I'm gonna start with this quick story. So I remember when treated lumber first came out and it first started to be marketed to people
4:37
It was in, it was in the mid 19 seventies and I'll never forget
4:41
Um there was a placard, you know, like about an 11 by 14 or 11 by 17 glossy placard on the counter
4:50
of the lumber yard I used to visit and it said, you know
4:55
never needs maintenance, never, you know, buy this treated lumber, you'll never do anything again
5:01
You know. And people are like, ok, including me. I mean, I'm 22 years old
5:05
you know, 23 you know what happens when you're young like that
5:10
And even if some people get to middle age, they actually believe what they see on TV
5:16
And they believe on ads and they believe news anchors, big mistake
5:21
big mistake, especially today. All right. So anyway, it turns out that they lied
5:26
All right. You know, maybe you give them the benefit of the doubt. May, may, maybe they weren't lying on purpose
5:31
Maybe they actually thought it was gonna never need maintenance. But here's the truth
5:36
I talked about this yesterday. A little bit and I've talked about it in past streams
5:40
The, um, you have to understand that the sun, the ultraviolet rays from the sun and you already know this
5:48
you know, this because you've seen other things that you have left outside
5:53
get damaged. All right, you've seen old cars paint fade. You've seen
5:59
um, a flag that you have that used to be in great shape
6:03
It, it basically gets shredded. You see the colors fade in the flag
6:07
Ok. Well, what's causing that? What's causing it are photons that are in about 5% of the ultraviolet rays
6:16
And think of a photon is this very tiny, highly energized particle that's like a miniature cruise missile
6:24
And I mean, when it comes and it hits and remember it's traveling at 100 and 86,000 miles per second
6:30
All right. P traveling pretty fast. All right. And when it hits whatever it strikes
6:36
whether it's your deck lumber, whether it's a flag, whether it's your swimsuit that you hung up on the line
6:42
uh, whether it's, uh, whether it comes into the window and hits your upholstery
6:46
um, it explodes. I mean, it hits a molecule blows it up
6:53
I mean, seriously. Just, all right. Well, so if enough of them hit
7:01
they, um, they, that, that's why it breaks apart the synthetic dye molecules
7:06
That's why the, the flag doesn't look the same color. Um That's why they
7:12
that's why the awning at the mobile station, um, was, was so fragile that an ice ball would
7:20
went right through it. That's a story. You have to get me to tell you another day
7:23
All right. Um, actually I'm, I'm, I'm about to, I'm gonna write that story and maybe I'll just share it to you that way
7:30
It's better if I just write it, it's gonna be much better. Um
7:34
so anyway, it does the same thing with wood. The, the photons will discolor wood
7:41
That's why your deters gray and um and you'll, and, and it also destroys the wood fibers
7:48
All right, especially the spring wood, which is the lighter color wood between the two dark bands
7:57
Here's the other thing that happens, you, unless you live in the Atacama Desert where there's no vegetation
8:03
your deck is getting sugars on it, aerosol sugars from nearby trees
8:10
If you, especially if you live in a deciduous area where you have a lot of maple trees
8:15
the, there's all these microscopic droplets of sugar that are coming on your deck
8:20
There's all kinds of other debris and organic stuff that's floating down onto your deck
8:24
And as soon as it rains, um, that turns into food for mil doing mold spores and the mold spores are there too outside
8:31
There's trillions and trillions of mold spores. So that's why your deck turns black and just gets covered with algae and mold
8:38
right. So you just have to understand the biology of what's going on. In other words
8:42
you cannot stop that from happening. You cannot stop your deck from getting mold and they'll do on it
8:48
It's like anything else. If you want a pristine, beautiful looking deck
8:52
then you have to get out there maybe once every 23 weeks
8:55
depending on the exposure with just a little bit of liquid dawn dish soap and uh a push broom
9:01
You don't need a stiff, you don't need a stiff scrub brush. You just need to get your deck wet squirt
9:07
A little bit done dishwashing soap. Take a big nice soft push broom and just go around and wash the deck and rinse it off
9:13
and you'll, you'll not have a motor mildew problem. It's a little harder to do that with the
9:18
the, the handrails a lot more work. Now, cleaning a deck. What's the best way
9:23
Let's talk about the worst way. First, if you have any questions, remember? Put him. Um
9:27
hi Victor, how you doing? Um, hi Vanessa, how are you doing
9:32
Um, he, let's talk about what not to do. First of all
9:36
pressure, a lot of people just love pressure washers and the manufacturers of pressure washer
9:41
You know, they, they, they advertise them. Oh, this is a great product. This is a great machine to clean decks with
9:47
Um, I say no. Uh, here's why have you ever been to the Grand Canyon
9:52
So the Grand Canyon solid rock 12 million years ago, it didn't exist
10:00
All right. I know that's a long time. But just the water flowing down the Colorado River just
10:06
uh, you know, it's not high pressure, it's just water flowing over the rock
10:11
It erodes rock, solid rock. So you tell me what you think
10:16
A pressure washer at 2000 or 1800 P si can do to really soft wood that you can scratch with your fingernail
10:23
All right. Once again, just like the t-shirt. In fact, I have to show you my t-shirt today
10:29
Um Nothing about this is hard. It's a, it's all about using your critical thinking skills
10:36
So when you, when you hold your hand in front of a pressure washer
10:40
which I don't recommend doing, but you might try it one day when it's far away and bring it up until such point as to
10:47
where it really hurts your hand. You'll go. This is insane. I
10:51
I never want to use this on wood. Of course not. Of course, you don't. Pressure washers are bad
10:56
Everything about them is bad. I mean, they work for other things, but you're just making a mistake if you use it on wood because
11:02
what happens is you'll erode the soft spring wood. The soft spring wood is the wood that's starting to grow right now
11:09
Uh The sap is running here in the trees in New Hampshire, the trees are coming back to life and they're gonna start putting on
11:15
that light band of wood you know, pro here in New Hampshire, like next month and then
11:20
then up until about July and then in July, the tree transitions and it starts to put on the dark band of wood
11:27
Remember each year there's, you know, in a, for 12 months there's two bands of wood in a tree
11:35
One's light, one's dark, one's springwood, one summer wood pressure washers ruin the springwood
11:42
They'll make your deck, use pressure wash, they make your deck look like an old fishing pier
11:46
You don't want that. So let's say you're gonna, you're gonna follow the
11:50
you're gonna go online and read a bunch of columns and a bunch of websites. They're still out there
11:55
I see, I actually get press releases from public relations people every spring and the advice is still there
12:02
It's been there for 45 years. They say get a bottle of chlorine bleach
12:07
you know, bottle of Clorox, put it in a bucket and then add a gallon of flipping water
12:12
So a gallon, you know, 5050 mix, 50% chlorine, chlorine bleach, 50% water
12:18
And remember this. The chemical name for chlorine bleach is sodium hypochlorite
12:24
sodium hypochlorite. So if you see that name, that chemical name on a product
12:30
do not buy it, do not buy it. Here's why sodium hypochlorite chlorine bleach
12:37
It will take the co it's so powerful. It will take, it's such a strong oxidizer
12:41
It will take the color out of the wood number two. Um
12:47
it will accelerate the corrosion of any of the metal fasteners or joist hangers on your deck
12:54
All right, you don't want that. I mean, you, if you've ever seen any metal work like regular iron or steel at a public swimming
13:02
pool, have you ever seen how rusted it is? It's because of the chlorine bleach they put in the water
13:08
All right, that's why everything at a swimming pool has got to be stainless steel and even chlorine bleach will hurt stainless steel
13:16
Uh So, and then it's toxic to all of the vegetation and everything around your deck
13:21
So, if you've got thousands of dollars worth of vegetation, eventually you'll kill it because when that chlorine bleach gets into the soil after as
13:30
you rinse the deck, it poisons the uh plants. Um I had a neighbor of mine back in Cincinnati
13:36
She systematically killed this absolutely stunning, beautiful um maple tree um by wash
13:45
every spring, she would take four or five bottles of chlorine bleach and literally just pour them over the patio around her
13:52
her, her house and this tree, all the tree roots were under this patio or many of the roots were
13:58
and she was about 10 years older than I was maybe even 15
14:03
And you know, I was in my thirties and show and she was a real uh firebrand
14:09
She was a real No, she was like the alpha alpha alpha in the marriage
14:14
Her husband was this very meek guy. And I mean, she just
14:20
when she said jump, he said, how high and where do you want me to land
14:24
All right. But he was a nice guy anyway. Crutch for she
14:32
I, I told her one day, you know, she and I didn't get along too well. I mean
14:36
we had this symbiotic relationship, you know, and it's, it's a whole long story why we didn't get along
14:42
It was all her fault. All right. So, Crutch board, I told her
14:46
I said, hey, hey, hey, Barbara, I said, uh, I just thought I'd let you know that you're killing your tree
14:53
And she was like, what? And I said, the chlorine bleach is toxic. It's poisonous tree
14:58
You, you should never do that. Just, just use some regular dish soap. Oh, it doesn't work
15:02
It doesn't work as well. I said, I know it doesn't work as well, but you're killing your tree
15:05
So what happens is every summer, you know, she'd see the tree was a little sick and she would have the tree people come and
15:11
they put these things in the trunk and it just kept getting worse and worse
15:16
you know? And I, I finally told her, I said, you're killing the tree, you know? Oh, you don't know what you're talking about
15:23
Well, eventually they came and cut the tree down, you know, I mean
15:30
some people just don't think to me, you know, I mean, they just don't believe me. All right. I get it all right
15:34
You know, you, you know, and she just, she just thought she was a, know it all
15:38
Well, she didn't know at all about that. So, anyway, too bad for her. So
15:43
anyway, the best way to clean a deck, the best way to clean a wood deck. I, I'm gonna
15:47
I'm gonna promote my own product. But if you want to get a crappy one, if you wanna go out and buy a cheap one
15:51
and a crap one that doesn't work, then go do it. But this is the best cleaner for a wood deck stain solver
15:57
Seriously, it's a powdered oxygen bleach. You mix it with hot water and you put it on the wood
16:04
Keep it, keep the wood wet with a solution for about 1520 minutes
16:08
Don't do anything. Just let it alone, make sure you apply it to dry wood and then at the end of the 2030 minute
16:15
wait period. Go ahead and scrub it lightly with a brush, rinse it with clear water
16:21
You're done that wood's gonna look brand new. Just go to stains sover.com
16:25
There's all kinds of columns there about cleaning a wood deck. Um Anyway
16:32
we gotta turn my phone down. My son is blowing up my phone with flipping text messages
16:37
you know. So jeez, gosh, you're not gonna hear it again. So oxygen bleach if
16:46
you have any questions about oxygen bleach. Um, just put it in the, um
16:51
uh, put it in the, um, put it in the chat happy to help you. Um
16:58
the, you, you, if you let, and here's the thing you, you need to
17:01
um, you need, you need to make sure that the wood is dry
17:05
Here's why whenever you clean a deck, a wood deck, this is really important
17:09
Once again, you got to think about this. This is a, this is critical thinking skills
17:14
One on one. If you've ever had a like a dried, I actually have a video about this uh on my channel
17:21
I forget what it's called. I did a really neat video um showing you what happens when you put a drop of water in a
17:27
piece of kind of, you know, worn or weather treated lumber. So I um I was out on my deck one day
17:34
I, I don't have a treated lumber deck. I've got trucks, but um I thought this is cool and so I put a drop of
17:40
water on the wood and it was unt it was treated lumber
17:44
but it was not sealed and you know, the drop of water stayed right on the spring wood for a little bit for maybe five
17:51
seconds and all of a sudden and it went, I mean, it just went right into the wood and there was no droplet on the
17:58
surface. Ok. So I'm sure you've seen that happen before. So think about that
18:03
If you go if you went, ok. Um, I wanna deep clean the wood and I want the cleaner to
18:12
soak into the wood to get below the surface. Well, if, if the wood is already wet
18:20
if you've saturated the wood by spraying a hose on it, then all the cleaner is gonna stamp on the top
18:26
So you don't want that, you want to apply it to dry wood and you also wanna work like with stain silver or any other
18:34
cleaner like that. You, you don't want to work in the middle of the day. You don't wanna be starting this deck project at 10
18:39
in the morning, working when the sun's high in the sky on a breezy part of the day
18:43
You wanna work early in the morning when the deck is in the shade or
18:47
you know, late afternoon, whatever it takes, but you do not wanna, because that what's gonna happen is the cleaner is gonna evaporate too quickly
18:54
All right. So you, you, you, um, trusting me, I've cleaned so many decks for this
18:58
If you just spray this stain silver solution on and it bubbles and it foams and if you just leave it alone
19:05
but make sure it's, you have an abundant amount of this solution on the wood
19:10
it's working on its own. You're gonna have to do minimal scrubbing
19:13
minimal. Trust me telling you it's magic, then you just rinse it and
19:19
uh, let it dry and then you're gonna put a seal on. So now the Sealers, let's talk about sealers
19:26
I did say you were killing the flipping tree. I told her that but she just wouldn't be
19:32
I mean, Barbara and I were kind of like this. I mean, we, um
19:36
we didn't fight but she, um, I, I'll tell you the story in just a minute
19:40
I'll tell you the story. It's pretty funny actually. The, um, so Sealers years ago you could find penetrating wood sealers
19:50
All right. So I, I don't have enough time and energy to investigate this
19:57
but I think the deck ceiling industry is kind of guilty of what the roofing industry did
20:05
If you remember, I talked yesterday about what happened, how they pre age the shingles I have seen over the past 25 years
20:12
the transition of penetrating wood sealers for decks into products that we call that I call and some of us call film farmers
20:21
So what is a film farmer? It's a product that when it dries
20:25
it leaves the film a very thin film on the surface. And in some cases
20:30
it can almost look like a urethane, like a glossy and some people like that look
20:35
they, they like that, that shiny look because it a lot of times people impart shininess with clean
20:44
All right, I get that. But then you pay the price for that because what happens is when those finishes fail
20:49
they peel and if you don't have it all off if you don't take it all off
20:57
Um What happens is when you go to reseal, your deck looks really blotchy
21:05
It's horrible. So that, so what happens is if you want your deck to look beautiful all the time
21:11
if you use the film form or sealant, then sometimes you have to strip it off and that's
21:16
that's crazy. Hard, crazy, hard. I did find it. I'm gonna test
21:23
I'm gonna, I'm actually gonna do a video, I'm gonna do a free video. I think, I think I'm gonna do it free
21:27
I don't know. Um, this, um, spring so two years ago I had to rebuild four of my boat dock
21:36
panels and it's just like a deck. I use cedar because that's what we use. And the
21:41
um, I'm gonna hit the, some, some idiots trying to call me
21:45
I don't know. I hope it's not, you don't mean to call you an idiot. But jeez
21:50
like flipping, hang up the phone. I had to, um, build these new doc panels and it was time for my doc to get resealed
21:59
And the pre the, the previous company that had built the doc panels had used one of these stupid film farmers and in some places
22:09
it filmed of it, it fell off and flaked off other places
22:12
It didn't, I was not about to strip all of it. I didn't care cause I don't go down to the dock that often
22:17
All right. So I don't care. But all the new cedar, I sealed beautifully with this with I
22:24
what I used was cabbages, um cabbage, um Australian timber oil because I did some research and
22:32
and from their literature, it said it was a penetrating, a penetrating product
22:37
not a film form. And it looked to me like that's what it did but that
22:41
but proof is gonna be in the pudding this spring. And here's what I did though for that because I knew I was going to
22:46
record a video. I took a piece of the brand new cedar
22:50
You know, I had to, uh, you know, when I bought the LS, I end up with a little bit of extra when I cut
22:55
and I sealed some of the cedar. Um, at the same time I was sealing the dock panels and
23:03
um, I took it, I let it dry for, you know, about four or five hours and then I brought it and put it in
23:09
my garage because I wanted it out of the light. I didn't want any sunlight to touch it
23:14
So it's been in my garage for two years. So it's gonna be really interesting to bring that piece of wood out and lay it
23:19
on one of the clean dock panels. So you can see what happened after two years
23:24
So that's what we're gonna do this spring. Any questions about, uh
23:29
cleaning a deck or ceiling a deck? Because I've really told you about all I know
23:33
Uh But I'm happy to answer any questions as far as composites
23:37
they're a lot easier to clean, uh, because they don't get as dirty because you're basically just cleaning a plastic
23:43
So it's really, really simple to clean a composite deck. Uh, same process
23:48
but you're gonna find it's much, much simpler. And in fact, most of the time
23:52
if you have a capped type, um, composite, like I have tricks transcend where it's a
23:59
it's a, it's a, it's a composite deck material, but it actually has a vinyl cap on it
24:04
Um, I mean that you can just clean with regular Dawn dish soap and
24:08
and water and a push broom. It's, it's that they, I, I've had my tres transcend deck down now for six years and I've never
24:17
cleaned it. Never, it looks as good as the day I put it down
24:22
So I can't say enough good things. All right. Any, uh, any questions, um
24:26
about anything about your home, uh, about decks, about deck sealers, about oxygen bleach
24:34
uh, while you're typing your question. Um, oh, I need, I wanna do something here
24:39
I just, I'm getting ready for the stream and II, I click something. I've never clicked before on my screen and
24:45
um, I can, um, I think, I don't know. It's, um, no
24:52
it's, it, I thought it would tell me something. I thought it would. I thought it would give me a cheat sheet
24:55
Of who the workers are. All right, but it doesn't seem to be working. All right
24:59
I'll have to try it again. So remember if you have any question about anything about your home
25:04
just ask me uh happy to happy to try to help you out. I'll tell you the story um about uh what was I gonna
25:13
tell you? Um um oh, come on, it was right. It's right on the tip of my tongue
25:18
I was just talking about help me out here. I said I was gonna tell you about this um funny story
25:23
Oh gosh, I hate when that happens. I should write it down. Um It'll come to me
25:28
I swear it will come to me. Victor's got a termite problem. Good
25:32
Let's go talk to us. Victor, tell me about your termite problem while
25:47
we wait for Victor to type to us about his, his um termite problem
25:52
Uh We are adding people to Discord. Uh I added a lot for my newsletter on Sunday
26:00
I'm gonna be promoting it each Sunday. I think when we get to about 500 or 1000 people
26:08
we're gonna start to get close to critical mass and there'll be enough people there that there's some activity there
26:16
you know, going on through the day, you know, right now it's a little quiet. That's OK
26:20
Uh And I think some people are trying to learn how to use it. All right, Victor
26:24
tell me what your termite problem is type it out. Thanks. The tree killer
26:30
Oh, yeah, exactly. I'll tell you about Barbara. Yes, that was it
26:36
I'll tell you why Barbara and I, but I'll wait, that Victor just got back. So, here we go
26:42
Uh, all right. There are trails on the wood. I had a treatment last year where they injected poison around the house
26:47
Ok. That's ok. Don't worry. I understand. I, I got it that you can't type so fast
26:52
No problem. And the other trouble is victor. Sometimes there's a, there's a latency
26:57
Sometimes when you type it might not show up that I can see it for a minute or so typically
27:10
Ok. So the mud trails came back. All right. That doesn't surprise me because
27:15
um, the termites, I explained this the other day, I talked a little bit about termites
27:21
Here's what you need to know about termites. They're one of the smartest insects out there and they
27:26
their natural instinct is to have multiple food sources. So they are constantly looking for new food
27:36
sources. I would have hoped that, that when you hired this company that they gave you a warranty
27:43
uh, almost all of the big national companies like Termin X. Um
27:48
I can't think of a few others but generally they come with pretty good warranties
27:53
So, did you do, did you get a warranty? Do you remember getting a warranty from these people
27:58
Um. Ok. Good. All right. So the first thing you need to do is just call him back
28:04
Make sure you take photos, take photos of the uh and it's best actually
28:10
uh just like you sometimes see um in hostage situations, you know
28:15
where they hold up a copy of today's newspaper somehow. In other words
28:19
you know, if they, you need to be able to show that once they come back and you get rid of the trails
28:25
like you'll brush them off the wall, then you, um, you know
28:31
you need to shoot a video to show. Ok, here it is April 1st 2022 and there are no mud trails
28:38
So that when they come back again, you could say, ok, look, here's the video they're born and they
28:42
your treatment's not working very well. So you just have to have them come out and
28:46
and retreat, but they say they can't kill them. No, that's not true
28:54
That's not true. Here's, uh, here's what you need to do. Victor go to
28:58
go to my web. Actually, I'll do it for you. I'll give you the link right here. I'll help you out my friend because you're
29:05
you're, you've got a great question. All right, I'll bring it up for you
29:17
I'm bringing up an, an old, this is an old, uh, I have a bunch of columns on my website and I think this is
29:22
a really good one. I'm just trying to check. And then before I give you the link
29:27
but I'll tell you how I found it. OK. Here we go
29:32
Yeah, this is a pretty good one. All right, Victor, I am trying to get back
29:41
There we go. So here we go. I want you to read this column and after you read that column
29:49
while you're at the website, you should be able to find the search bar type in termite again
29:55
just type in the word termite. That's what I just did. And I got about 10
29:59
about 10 columns that came back, 10 of them. You need to read all of them because you need to because when they
30:06
because what, whoever told you what they just told you, they're not telling you the truth or
30:11
or, or they are not knowledgeable. In other words, it could be somebody intentionally lying
30:18
but it's also possible that the person doesn't understand how term, what
30:22
what happens. So I'm gonna give that person the benefit of the doubt, but you need to arm yourself with the facts and I have
30:31
all the facts for you about how termites work, how they live
30:36
what they do and how, how you can kill them. And this fact that once you're in the wood
30:41
you can't kill them. That is completely 100% false. Yeah. Yeah. Victor
30:49
I know that you're right there. Yeah. We used to be able to use chlorine. All right
30:53
Well, we can't use it anymore because of the flipping tree huggers. All right
30:57
But maybe they're right. All right. Chlordane, you can't get it. All right
31:00
I know. But there are other chemicals that do work that will kill
31:07
that absolutely will kill the nest and kill the colony. So, if they're telling you
31:14
so, here's what's crazy you, if, if I was talking to the owner of that company
31:21
I would say, well, if you're telling me that the, that the chemicals don't work and they don't kill the termites
31:27
why do I have you out here? What good is it that you're spraying all this stuff
31:33
That's the kind of critical thinking question you need to challenge him with and you can do it in a nonthreatening way
31:40
All right. So go read all that stuff. Victor. You're welcome. Go read all of my columns about termite stuff and you will be armed
31:48
to the teeth to have a really intelligent conversation. And I'm telling you right now
31:53
you, you're wasting your time talking to the poor applicator guy. You need to go talk to the owner of the company
32:00
You need to call up the company and say I want to talk to the owner and if it's a big national company
32:06
then you'd say you want to talk to the general manager and you want him to come out to your house
32:13
Let me get caught up. Jimmy wants to clean my deck. Ok
32:18
Come and do it. But you need to, it's, it's not dirty. Um
32:25
mental says, but what about the Russians? I don't, I don't know what you mean about the Russians
32:29
I, um, here's what you need to know about the Russians, let's assume
32:36
let's assume right now that it's really true that Russia is invading the Ukraine
32:42
All right, for whatever reason, you know, because they wanna take Ukraine for their own
32:49
You know, it's, it's really no different. I mean, did you ever watch the movie Napoleon Dynamite
32:54
You know, and early kind of in the movie, there's that bully
32:58
Uh you know, in the school who shakes down the kids for money, you know
33:01
he choked that one kid. He, the kid gave him the money. All right
33:06
Well, that we're just playing the game of Thrones stuff. It's just, it's just bullying on a
33:10
on, on an epic flipping international scale. But if you're upset about Russia
33:21
invading Ukraine and taking it for their own, then you need to be the first person in line
33:30
I'm serious about what I'm gonna say. You need to be the first person in line that says, wait a minute
33:34
we need to give Hawaii back to the queen and her descendants because we stole Hawaii
33:42
We did just so, you know, we completely stole Hawaii from the Hawaiian people
33:48
Hawaii was a sovereign nation and we did the same thing with Panama
33:54
If, if you're not aware of that, Panama, the country, Panama where the c is that used to be Col Columbia it
34:03
was not a separate company country. I'm sorry, it was not a separate country
34:08
And the people who lived there were neglected because the people back in the main part of Colombia just ignored him
34:15
And so they came to the US and said, listen, we're sick of these guys
34:21
help us, help us get away from them. And we did what we stole Panama
34:28
And the deal we cut was OK. We'll help you. But you know what? We want to build a c and we get to own
34:34
the c. They said, OK, go ahead. We just want, we just want our own country
34:41
So we, we did all that, that that's what happened. That's not in the history books
34:51
So if you're upset about Putin going into Ukraine, you gotta say
34:56
listen, we gotta give Panama back to Colombia. Sorry, we gotta give Hawaii back and we have to give Wake Island back and we have
35:04
to give Samoa back all that. We stole all that. We stole it all because we didn't want the Japanese to get it
35:18
ok? Victor. Good for you. You're gonna be so smart about termites. Victor and
35:23
and here Victor, after you read the columns after you talk to the general manager or the owner
35:30
I need you to come back here and give us a full report. Ok? Uh You're the best
35:38
All right, I don't know about that. I, I I'm just Tim Carter
35:42
I'm, I'm no different. Than you. All right. Uh Mental. You're welcome everybody here
35:49
That's a good point. So mental says, thanks for all your in your knowledge
35:54
Everybody is smart about something God made us all different and we all have different skills and talents
36:03
All right. So for example, I can't sew very well. You might be a good sewer
36:11
a seamstress. I can't golf very well, but will, will is a good golfer
36:16
Um Goodnight here. So goodnight is really good with computers. I'm so
36:22
I, I'm ok but I'm not a flip and whiz. All right. Um Y and
36:27
and everybody's got, I don't, I don't know what skills you have. In fact
36:31
I would love to know what skills you have. Why don't you tell me right now and don't be bashful
36:37
just list your top, like list your top two superpowers. I mean
36:43
what you're really excel in. Go ahead and I don't care if it's flipping
36:47
doing laundry because some people suck at doing laundry. Some people put the colors in with the whites
36:54
I wonder why their t-shirts are pink. All right. Maybe you're a fantastic cook
37:00
You know, it doesn't matter. So I, I'm really interested in, in what your
37:05
your superpowers are. I don't know, Jason, you know, people say I'm an internet celebrity
37:15
I must not be that much of a celebrity because here's how I rate celebrities
37:19
Meaning if, um, I don't know, I'm sure, you know, I'm not really good with popcorn
37:26
Well, I'll just say if Michael Jackson were still alive and, and he walked into my shopping in my grocery store
37:34
a lot of people would recognize him and they'd go, look, look
37:37
that's Michael Jackson. You know, or if Tom Brady, if Tom Brady walked into our grocery store
37:43
believe me in New Hampshire. Hey, Tom, how are you doing? Amen
37:48
You blew us off and went to Tampa. But all right, I'll forgive you
37:52
Yeah, I go to the grocery store all the time. I go to town
37:57
Nobody says, hey, there's the builder guy. So I don't consider myself a celebrity
38:08
Oh, you, so there you go. Victor Portfolio Management. That is amazing
38:16
Commander. Um So see, I'd have questions for you. I would have questions like you need to be in my discord
38:23
Look at the link that uh is just above you. I, I would love to create a section there about investing
38:31
Oh my gosh. Oh You would be your knowledge would be really help a lot of people there
38:37
Commander. I'm telling you right now. Uh So mental. So there you go
38:41
You're an H VA person. Good for you. All right. Um So good night
38:48
I, I didn't know how to fold t-shirts and then I watched this video, man. I am
38:52
I can do exactly what they do in those videos. Like I can fold a t-shirt like four seconds here
38:56
Speaking of t-shirts, I told you I'd show you mine today. So there it is. So
39:02
if Lorraine was here, it would really mess her. It would really make her angry. All right
39:05
I think. But she, she gets it. So, uh, I knew someone was gonna type that
39:14
Jason says, I bet Tom Brady can't change a four stitch. No
39:18
he can't. No, he cannot. But he can afford to pay somebody $1000 an hour to do it
39:26
Ah. Oh, Jimmy. come on, Jimmy, keep it clean, man. Just that's gotta
39:36
keep it clean. Don't know. That's, that, that kind of stuff is not appreciated here
39:40
Just so, you know, um Victor used to work at Goldman Sachs
39:46
Yeah, I, dude, I'm telling you you need to get on Discord and if you do
39:49
you need to uh email me. I am happy to put a create a new investing channel to get investing advice
39:57
Pe you would help a lot of people. Um So there's a great
40:04
so, so will wants to know if uh Victor he wants, will, wants to know if you like if you like crypto
40:09
if you like crypto of any type. Um Yeah, Victor. So look at that
40:18
So paid half a million dollars. That's great. And boy, don't they feel bad now that he's come out of retirement
40:27
Uh Oh my gosh. Exactly. Not worth as much anymore. It's, it's worthless
40:34
Are you kidding me? It's worth maybe 500 bucks comes out of retirement
40:41
announced it yesterday or? The day before. Oh, my gosh, that's hilarious
40:47
Um, that's hilarious. If you like what you're hearing, make sure you hit the like button that really helps us
40:52
helps us, uh, in, in Google's eyes. Um, and also, um, what
41:02
did I wanna say? Um, just try to do your best to spread the word around if you can't
41:10
you know, the good word about, ask the builder and whatever. Because then maybe one day what Jason says will come true
41:15
Maybe one day people will actually stop me in the street and say, hey, you're the ask the builder guy
41:19
Although it's happened three times in my life three times in 28 years
41:24
And one of those times was about 2.5 months ago. Some guy actually in the grocery store
41:30
it was in the produce section. He kept up and said, hey, you're the guy, you're the ask the builder guy on youtube
41:35
So actress. That's only one out of three times in 28 years
41:44
All right. So anyway, um Victor had a good question about the flipping termites
41:51
termites. Um They are so smart. They, they like to go out and they f the the queen tells them
41:58
go out, go to 56 different places. We don't want all the same food
42:03
we want to get different food sources and that's how they try to keep the colony alive
42:07
But Victor, what happens is there are modern poisons out there. See
42:11
here's what you need to understand. Here's what the termites do. So the termites that are coming to your house
42:17
they are, they're like little harvesting machines. So they grab some of the woodd
42:22
a very small amount, tiny amount and then they come back to the colony
42:26
they walk all the way back and then they regurgitate it. They spit the wood out because there are other termites and the queen back
42:35
at the colony and these worker termites bring the food back to them
42:39
So when they saturate the wood with a poison or they, they put the poison out um and they bring back poison
42:48
they, they end up killing the uh colony, you know, they poison him
42:53
But here's the bad news, here's Victor, here's the bad news. This is a really bad news just because if you're lucky and you kill
43:02
the current colony, that's, that's harassing your home next spring. A new colony could form next door
43:11
and start it all over again. That's what's so bad about termites
43:16
They, it's like they, they never end. It's like the sun coming up each day
43:22
All right. Al uh OK. Good. Thanks for getting rid of that. Um So um All
43:33
right. Um OK. Victor says I'd be happy to share my knowledge. OK, good. So you uh wanna click the Discord link and go to
43:42
Discord. Uh Good night. I'll put it back up again and just join it's
43:47
and you're joining a private server. It's not like being on Facebook
43:51
That's a really big distinction. You know, because if you join like fascist book
43:57
then everybody in the world can see you. That's not the case on, on
44:00
on my server. The only people that can see you are the people that have joined the server
44:04
So it's a very private community or private group of people. All right
44:12
And once you're there, if you do sign up, you need to email me, you need to contact me
44:16
I will then set up an area, a channel, a category called investing
44:21
And then under that category, we can have different channels like it could be stock tips
44:26
it could be Cryptocurrency, it could be real estate, whatever you want
44:29
whatever you feel comfortable. I mean, that's, that's why, that's why Goodnight told me about this
44:34
That's why I'm investing time in it because it's a great way to share knowledge to our family here
44:39
As simple as that. And you're gonna become a termite expert too
44:44
So there's the link right below your termite expert comment. Just go there
44:49
It's free and pick a screen name that whatever screen name you want
44:54
Hopefully it's not taken. Don't pick your name, don't tell everybody who you are
44:59
Uh Yeah, let me know how it goes. It's really, really simple. It's really, it may seem intimidating at first
45:05
but it's not that hard. Are there any other questions you, you might have
45:12
There we go. Mentor what about bringing in ants and starting the ants always win
45:17
Um That here's the deal. The termites pretty smart. Uh That's a great question
45:22
by the way, mental. So the here's what the termites do if you don't know
45:26
the termites do not. The worker termites, only the worker termites come to the house and they do not like sunlight
45:33
They like, it's, they're like vampires. They are not big fans of sunlight so they build these mud tubes um to travel in so that
45:42
they're protected from the light. So that also, you know, duh, it protects him from predators
45:50
So the ants can't get to unless the ants tear apart the tubes. Termites are so smart
45:56
You have no idea. And I talked about that a week ago here
46:00
Here's what fascinates me. You know how big a termite is? It's about half the size of a dried grain of rice
46:07
All right. That's the termite. That's the worker termite. So think how tiny their head is
46:12
Their head is about the size. I don't know of like a period on a typewriting page
46:20
maybe half the size of that and inside that is their brain
46:27
Do you? Anybody who doesn't believe in God? I'm serious. Anybody who says no
46:32
no God, then I would go. Then you explain to me how termites are so smart who created that union
46:46
Carpenter ants? Um We just found carpenter in a bundle of cedar shingles
46:54
Um Yeah. So carpenter ants only will only bore and only go for wet wood
47:04
So, I'll bet you that the cedar shingles were wet. All right
47:09
they will not bother dry wood. You cannot have wood wet. All right
47:13
So, yes, Oak Grove is there. Yes. Great question. Go to my website
47:19
Go to ask the builder.com and type in carpenter bees into the search engine
47:23
Where do you see what you find? Um. All right. Um, there's
47:32
so much information at the website. I, I mean, I've been writing for 28 flipping years
47:38
Ok. 28 years. All right. So there's so much information. There just go anytime you've got a question
47:46
go to the website and, and type it in type, type in and here
47:51
here's a tip. A lot of people don't know how to use search engine. I've, I've discovered they
47:58
they'll type in like this long sentence like what does it cost to wash windows in San Francisco
48:05
No, it would be window washer. San Francisco. All right. That's all you gotta do
48:11
So, or window washing or in your case, you would just go to my search engine and type in carpenter B or
48:19
or Victor would type in termite or termites plural. Um Or you would type in
48:25
let's say you want to know how to finish drywall. You would type in just, you don't, don't type in how to finish drywall
48:31
don't do that. Just type in drywall, finish or drywall, finishing or finishing drywall and drywall
48:39
in other words, just start with two words and you're gonna get so much better results
48:44
Oh, my gosh. Just, uh, some people just don't understand how to search engines
48:52
Um, ok. Any other questions about anything? I don't care what it is. I don't
48:56
it could be, it could be about anything, it could be about anything
49:02
I really don't care. Uh, I am getting some new artwork. Uh
49:08
I'm going to also, um, I'm probably gonna have a pole at
49:13
Uh Yeah, in fact, that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna create a poll on my website because I can't do it here
49:19
I can do it on Discord too. Um I'm getting ready to
49:25
I have to get some artwork done, but I'm gonna start having and this is Loreen's idea and also
49:31
um it was somebody else's idea and I apologize for not remembering who it was
49:36
Maybe it was Steve from the UK. I don't know, but about having asked the Builder Gear Jason
49:40
it could have been you. I don't know. Well, we're gonna have the Builder Gear
49:46
We're, we're gonna start with T shirts. It's gonna expand and, but I want you to help me design them
49:52
So that's, that's what we need to do. I'm gonna, I'm gonna need some help. So I'm gonna come up with prototypes and then you
49:58
can see what it looks like and then you can vote as to what, what they do and just suggest what we do
50:03
So we have. So we get the T shirts that everybody wants. I'll also
50:07
um, have, um, I'm gonna do with my newsletter list too. How many kids do you have
50:14
I've got three Children, two girls and a boy. They're all great
50:23
But I'll tell you this much. Um, that song Cap in the Cradle
50:29
It's true. So, if you have young Children at your home, you
50:40
better spend as much time as you can with him. Golf balls
50:45
It might be a possibility. Well, I can, I can actually do it but I don't
50:49
only if they're available in spring, I'm not gonna get in the business of
50:53
I mean, you and I both know, well, I can get logo balls made until the cows come home
50:57
I've actually had some made, actually, I might have a really cool one here to share with you that I made for a friend
51:04
Um, yeah. Yeah, I got, this is kind of an interesting story
51:16
So I'm gonna show you these two golf balls with a, that
51:20
that I made for a friend of mine. And, um, we were really good friends
51:26
really good friends and we knew way back when, I mean, I met this person
51:33
Wow. Um, 18 years ago and he was part of the internet mastermind group that I helped start up and we knew
51:42
way back then that we were, you know, we were kind of polar opposites
51:46
Um, when it comes to politics. So we just said there, why talk about it
51:52
So we never did. And then this whole illness came up and I guess President
52:03
Trump was in his last year of office and I guess something happened and this friend of mine just lost
52:12
it and he emailed me one day and, um, politics and I
52:20
he started, he started the exchange and I, I came back pretty harsh with the proof
52:26
you know, because he said something that wasn't true and that was it. That was the end of the friendship never heard from him since
52:32
anyway. So I made, um, I got this golf ball made, I'm trying to hold it so you can read it
52:42
So it says us S Murray, that's a submarine. And, and the whole purpose of this is
52:48
this guy was very inclined when we played golf, he always hit him into the flipping water
52:53
And then the last time I was together with him, um, I got these
52:58
this softball made. That's this picture so you can get, you can get some really cool golf balls maybe
53:03
All right, really cool. And, um, really cool. Um, but I do not want to be in the business of getting golf balls made and
53:12
having to ship golf balls to people. I'm not doing that. Um
53:22
ok, Jack raise 10 percent concrete one. You wanna raise the 10 by 10 concrete one and a quarter inch on
53:32
earth on their subject. D do, do you, do you just need to have the top level of the surface an inch and a quarter
53:41
higher. In other words, has the whole slab sunken down and you just wanna bring it back up
53:47
Is that what you're trying to do? Yes or no. So
54:01
I'm waiting for Jack to say just yes or no, he might be typing a whole bunch of other stuff
54:08
but you can do just so, you know, really, really cool things with um with golf balls
54:13
So I'll tell you the story of why that last golf ball had um my friend's face on it
54:18
Um There's actually a great, um, ok. Yeah, Jack just, I'll be with you in just a second
54:24
I, I gotta go to youtube and find this video. You're gonna love this video
54:29
Um As soon as I can bring it up. I don't know
54:33
Here we go. Uh The uh oh and actually, um will, I'm gonna suggest that you maybe go to the bathroom
54:42
right now before you. Uh If you are gonna howl with laughter will
54:51
will really understand this video. If you've not played golf before, you're not necessarily um gonna um um
55:02
you're not gonna ne yeah, here it is. This is a great video. Oh my God
55:07
I had so much fun with this. This is my friend. This is before things went south and just so
55:13
you know, it was by um the overlords. Uh did that on purpose
55:19
In other words, have you gotten into arguments? Uh I've lost about five friends because of the illness
55:27
It's all by design. They w they hate us, the pe, the, the overlords, the people up here
55:32
They hate, sorry, I gotta stop that. Sorry. Oh my God. Here at Coyote Villa
55:43
this video is so flipping funny. Um So good night. We definitely wanna put this video on
55:52
Discord. Uh I don't know where to put it though. Uh oh
56:00
we're gonna put it on Discord for you. We're gonna put that link on Discord
56:04
Um Anyway, um so I made those balls for
56:13
the last time I saw him. So that video you're gonna watch was made maybe
56:19
I don't know. Four years ago. Let me see when I made it. Yeah
56:24
September 2018. That's what I thought four years ago. Uh And then we
56:29
we went on another trip, a little man self discovery trip on 2019
56:35
That was the last time I saw him and things really kind of started to fall apart then too
56:40
Um There was some foreshadowing and we play golf. Well, I presented him with this ball with his face on it for a reason
56:49
and you'll see it. You'll understand when you, you watch that video. Ok
56:54
Jack. Um I don't know. Here's the thing. There, there are companies that come out and can slap Jack
57:01
All right, there are companies they come out, they drill holes. They
57:05
they, these are big commercial operations. They do it at airports, the
57:10
the airport runways, like, you know, where the plane, the big heavy planes touch down
57:15
You know, they, they try to do everything possible to make that concrete never sink, but sometimes it does
57:20
And it's very important for airport runways to be smooth, very important part
57:24
So they can raise concrete slabs. I mean, you can raise a slab that weighs 2030 tons
57:29
Not a problem, not a problem. They drill down, they drill holes about two inches in diameter and then they start to pump a slurry
57:37
Uh, just think, um, apple sauce, just think of applesauce. So it's a slurry of cement and uh
57:44
fly ash and whatever, very fluid. And man, you'll just float that slab up to wherever you want
57:49
They can, they can completely level one up, whatever. All right, the problem is is that if you do it on a residential basis
57:56
they don't care. It doesn't matter if it's a commercial parking lot or an airport runway that there is these ugly flipping polka dots that
58:04
they have to patch after the fact. But on your beautiful patio out back
58:09
nobody wants to see these flipping polka dots because that's what you end up with wherever they drill a hole
58:15
you end up, they patch it and it does not match. What if I told you you could put a concrete overlay
58:22
you could put a concrete overlay, made out of pig gravel over that and get it to whatever level you want
58:28
So you don't and you can do it yourself. Maybe because it's a little thicker
58:32
You'll need a little bit of help. But, and you can do it much, much cheaper
58:35
You, you probably could buy a 10 by 10 inch and a quarter. You could buy all the material you need for less than you'd
58:42
need. Probably two bags of, of cement, which would be what's a bag of cement now cost 10 bucks
58:48
$15withinflation.So$30forcement,umsomesandandsomegravel.Um,100bucksyou're,and,andifyougotopayaslab
58:57
Jacker, it's gonna be 23 grand. All right. So I have all these columns on my website
59:03
go to the developer.com, the v.com and type in concrete overlay, concrete overlay ov er
59:12
lay read all of those columns, Jack and um, I'm telling you that's the best way to do it cheaper
59:21
Same, you get the exact same result. You're gonna have a beautiful finish on it
59:26
Whatever you want, you can colorize it. You can throw, you can make it red
59:30
you can make it blue, you can make it green, you can make it brown, you can make it look like leather
59:34
whatever you can stamp it. If you want to have a stamp texture, you can do any number of things
59:41
Uh All right, let's see will said, did you deliberately hit his golf ball face into the water
59:46
No, no, he's, he was a really great friend. It's just that, um, the
59:54
my wife has shown me studies and, and I, you know, I don't know if they're jaded or not
59:59
but there are studies that have been done that show that, that people who are of the
1:00:04
who, who are left leaning and who are liberal, that they're very unhappy
1:00:08
And I happen to know one of them. I happen to know this woman who is so flipping unhappy
1:00:15
Um, because the left is constantly waging this war of fear. Whereas conservatives tend to be a much more positive
1:00:25
Um, they, they have a different outlook on life. So my friend
1:00:30
I think just got, um, I don't know, I don't know. It's a really sad but no
1:00:39
I wouldn't hit his golf ball in the water but he, he would hit his golf ball in the water. He didn't do deliberately a
1:00:44
lot of his balls over the past 15 years in the water. It's like there was a magnet
1:00:49
I mean, just in the water gone. That's why I made the submarine ball
1:00:56
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. Uh, the woman who's the liberal
1:01:00
Well, she was liberal, no doubt about it. She was a big democrat in Cincinnati
1:01:04
Uh, but this other woman I'm talking about happens to be, uh
1:01:08
uh, well, just a really good friend. Of mine happens to be a really good friend of mine. And
1:01:13
uh, it's really sad. I mean, it's really sad. Just really sad
1:01:19
All right. Uh, so, um, I'll tell you a quick story about, um
1:01:23
this woman who killed the tree and why we didn't get along. I think I've talked about this before and I pass live stream
1:01:30
I'll tell it again. So, crutch word when Cathy and I bought the lot
1:01:39
that we built our last house on in Cincinnati, we bought that lot. Oh my gosh
1:01:46
a long time ago. Well, I know Zach movie about it. We would have bought it in the spring of 1986
1:01:59
We this lot. Ok. So this lot was 9/10 of an acre
1:02:04
And this village that we're in is called Amberley Village. And this
1:02:14
this part of the, this, this little subdivision, the street that I lived on was not originally part of Amberley Village
1:02:23
It got annexed. They, they asked to become part of Amberley and Amberley accepted them
1:02:28
Years later, the street that I lived on was put in before World War Two
1:02:34
And some of the lots, many of the lots on the street were not one acre
1:02:39
But years later the Amberley Village zoning code said that there
1:02:48
were two classifications. Class A and class B, zoning class A was one acre lots
1:02:53
Class B half acre lots. But my street, all of the lots were class A
1:02:59
All right. They were grandfathered in, even though they were not one acre
1:03:04
So they had to abide by all of the class a rules in
1:03:08
in the, in the zoning book. I, I was on the planning and zoning board for eight years, but I wasn't on when I bought
1:03:15
the lot. We see this lot. I, I had been looking around for lots and
1:03:20
and I knew that if you wanted a really, really good lot, uh At that time
1:03:26
you had to spend about 50 grand, you know, and I'm talking about kind of in close to Cincinnati and this lot was magical
1:03:34
This lot backed up to French Park to the undeveloped part of French Park
1:03:41
It, I mean, it, it's just the actually down just about 100 and 5200 ft away from my home that I built
1:03:51
yeah, 200 ft. There were still old growth, timbers, trees that had been there since
1:04:00
like the 17 hundreds. You know, it was completely undeveloped part of this park
1:04:07
This thing called French Park. Go, look it up, go look it up, go online. Look at French Park
1:04:10
Cincinnati. It's part of the Cincinnati Park system now. Even though it's not in Cincinnati
1:04:18
this lot had been on, it had never been built on a vacant lot
1:04:21
It was the only vacant lot on the street and it had never been built on
1:04:28
And the reason why is because the person who owned it lived across the street
1:04:31
He had bought the, he had bought that lot across the street in my lot in
1:04:36
in the 19 fifties. And he was a very successful printer in downtown Cincinnati
1:04:43
And he did not want to look at his picture window because back then the ranch houses all had these big giant picture windows in
1:04:48
the living room. That's, that was the trend. And he did not want to look at his picture window
1:04:54
sitting at his couch and look at another house he wanted. And then he had so much money
1:04:59
He hired a, a gardener, he and his next door neighbor hired a gardener that worked for them and they
1:05:05
he, they just split the, the gardener's labor. Each of them got 20 hours a week and this gardener cultivated gardens on my lot
1:05:13
You know, and, and, and the guy who owned the lot even put in water service
1:05:18
he paid to have a water tap put in and a water meter with an underground pit
1:05:23
And so that his gardener could put out a hose and water all these flowers and everything
1:05:28
It's crazy. It's a true story. So this woman who lives next door
1:05:35
she, the, the, the, the guy who owned the lot, he eventually got sick and passed away
1:05:40
And I think also as he was getting older, he didn't take care of it any longer. So she started to kind of use part
1:05:46
of the lot. All right, you know, she just kind of clear
1:05:50
she just kind of used part of it. What, you know what she should not be doing, Kathy
1:05:55
And I see a lot in the paper. Uh I was a real estate broker
1:06:00
I immediately go down and we look at it. II, I find out
1:06:04
iii I call this other guy that was on the zoning board that my father-in-law knew
1:06:08
He said no problem. You're gonna be able to build a house. Trust me
1:06:11
I know it's not an acre. Trust me, everything's gonna be fine. Ok
1:06:15
good. I put in the offer. Uh we get the offer was accepted and then a day or two later after we knew the offer
1:06:22
was accepted, we, we come down and we park in front of the lot and also you need to understand this all these years that
1:06:31
that I had driven by this lot cause my wife's parents live five houses away
1:06:36
No one knew this was a vacant lot. No one even knew it existed. They all thought that the lot was partially owned by the
1:06:42
two houses on either side. No one knew it was a vacant lot because it was
1:06:48
it was shaped like this. All right. So it only had here at the street
1:06:52
it only had about 60 ft, but it was real wide at the back
1:06:57
K and I pull up, get out of the car or the truck. I don't know whatever
1:07:02
And we walk on the lot. You know, we're super happy. We just bought this new lot. We're gonna build our dream home and we're
1:07:08
walking on the lot and this lady comes out and, and here's what her face looked like
1:07:18
She says, who are you? What are you doing here? I mean
1:07:22
that's how she said it. That's not a good way to start a relationship
1:07:25
Right? And, and I said, oh, I said, I'm serious. This is exactly what I said
1:07:32
I said, you know, she didn't tell me what her name was or whatever. I just said, I held out my hand to shake her
1:07:37
hand. I said, we're your new neighbors. Um, oh my gosh, she
1:07:46
didn't shake my hand. What, what, what do you mean? I said
1:07:50
oh, we, we, we just bought this lot. What do you mean? You bought the lot? I said
1:07:54
well, it was for sale. I know it was for sale. Uh, what did you pay
1:07:58
I'm serious. That's exactly what she said. Could you imagine saying that to somebody that would be like me asking her right then
1:08:04
Like, how much do you weigh, lady? How much do you weigh
1:08:08
Come on, tell me, you look a little chubby and I told her
1:08:17
I said I paid 35 grand. Oh, you're an idiot. You're an idiot
1:08:21
It's not even worth that. You're crazy. I put an offer for 5000 and they rejected it
1:08:26
I said, you're the idiot. I said, because lots like this. They're worth about 50 grand
1:08:31
All right. So I, I knew so that's how we started out. So
1:08:36
and then I'll tell you this, this, then, then the next time I saw her, this is hilarious
1:08:43
All right. So I'm gunning for her. Now, I'm gunning for her. You know, we start to build the house
1:08:49
Um, I'm there working every day, every day, seven days a week and
1:08:54
and the side of the house, the, the ground naturally sloped a little bit towards her house
1:08:59
which meant that the top of the foundation on, on her side of the lot was about 4 ft out of the ground
1:09:08
All right. And then you've got the subfloor on top of it and I'm using two by 12 Joy
1:09:14
So the top of the subfloor is like five, like 64 inches up off
1:09:18
off the uh soil. And I'm, I'm outside on that side of the house one afternoon
1:09:24
No one's around. Everybody else went home. She goes, she comes out what
1:09:31
what's gonna be on this side of the house? You know, that's
1:09:36
I mean, she talked like that, she didn't say hi, Tim. How you doing
1:09:41
How, how's things going? That's what the normal person would do. She
1:09:46
I'll get to your comments in a minute. And so remember I'm gunning for this lady
1:09:51
All right, I'm gunning for her and, and I, I mean, I'm
1:09:55
I'm not as smart then as I am now. But I knew I was smart enough to go
1:10:00
I wasn't gonna answer right away. I was gonna say, I said, well
1:10:05
why do you need to know that? And this is how stupid she was
1:10:13
She, she looked and she pointed at her house and she said
1:10:17
see those windows right there. Those are my daughter's bedroom windows, you know
1:10:23
and they were teenagers. And I mean, like I went, I felt like I had just won the flipping lottery
1:10:34
I'm serious. I thought what, how, what a stupid mistake to, to tell me that I go really
1:10:43
I go, that's too bad. That's really too bad. I said right here on this side of the house and I
1:10:50
I told a little, I was being a little mendacious but I
1:10:53
I wasn't, I wasn't, I said this is our living room and right there is our dining room and we've got these giant flipping
1:11:03
windows, huge huge windows here. They weren't really that big. And I said
1:11:09
and I said, do you see how high that floor is? I said, when I stand on that floor
1:11:16
my eyes are gonna be 10 ft off the ground. I'm gonna be able to look right down into your daughter's bedrooms
1:11:23
What do you think about that? She, she just turned around and walked away and then like three weeks later
1:11:31
there was this landscaping crew there planning all these flipping evergreen trees that take forever to grow
1:11:40
True story. All Right. So, you, we didn't hit it off that
1:11:43
Well, all right. Simple as that. All right. Let me get caught up on the comments. Uh
1:11:50
all right. I don't know about Obama and who cares about him
1:11:57
Uh, mental. Let me guess. Now she claims she owns it because, well
1:12:00
no, she didn't, she didn't. Uh, that's, there's an actual term is called adverse possession in real estate
1:12:07
Um, in Ohio. Adverse possession kicks in at 22 years. Meaning if you squat on a piece of ground and
1:12:16
and you can prove that you've been there and you build a house or whatever and
1:12:19
and they don't run you off. After 22 years, you can claim it as your own
1:12:25
I'm sure you gotta go through a court action. But if you've got all, if you've got all the proof and the owner
1:12:30
the owner of the land didn't do anything to stop you, you get the land or you get a part of it
1:12:38
you know, revolver says smart thing to say to her. Well, she just
1:12:46
she was a pretty smart woman but she um that's what happens when you let your emotions get a hold of you
1:12:52
Um You get, you let emotions control you and ee everything goes off the rails
1:13:02
Um So that's the story about her. Uh Same thing in Canada
1:13:08
Very interesting. Yeah, I don't know what the time frame is up in Canada, but 22 years is
1:13:13
is what it is in the state of Ohio. It could be different in different states here in America
1:13:17
All right. Any questions about your house? I don't have any questions about people's house
1:13:21
We have, we have quite a few people here and everybody seems to have a house that's in great shape
1:13:28
amateur photographers. Well, I just, I mean, what was so silly about it
1:13:38
What was so stupid about the planting, the evergreen trees? Like two things
1:13:44
I mean, two things. Seriously. They think they have things called window shades
1:13:48
All right. Du, uh, and, and you could tell your daughters listen
1:13:54
don't walk around the bedroom naked. Ok. Don't walk around the bedroom in your underwear
1:13:58
You know, because none of this is hard. Nothing about this is hard
1:14:05
Flipping idiot. Ah, I don't know what Lool
1:14:15
means. So, you did that twice? Uh, mental. I don't know what that means
1:14:19
So, I'm sorry. Um, yeah, you know what I'm reminded of if you watch some television
1:14:28
like, there's certain television, uh, uh, series that are, I think are hilarious and one of them is modern family
1:14:34
I mean, I got, I just loved it and, um, if you remember
1:14:39
um, Claire and, um, what was, uh, how come, how come I can't think of the husband's name
1:14:45
Claire. And, um, oh, you know who I'm talking about d on it
1:14:50
Um, it'll come to me, I hate when that happens. Um, their daughter
1:14:55
their oldest daughter was Haley and there, this is deep into the series and she opens up some type of social media account and her
1:15:04
brother or so I say says that um oh, you've got like 100,000 or 200,000 subscribers
1:15:12
Oh, yeah, I know, I don't know how it happened, but she's this real ditzy young woman and she didn't realize that her camera was
1:15:19
on all the time. So she's walking around her bedroom naked. Yeah
1:15:26
Oh my gosh. 00, I see. Lool equals 11. I got it
1:15:31
Ok, thanks. I'm see. I, I don't know all the acronyms. Um All right
1:15:38
So, um, Phil, his name was Phil. The husband's name, character was Phil
1:15:42
That's what it was. Claire and Phil. And um anyway, oh my gosh
1:15:48
Um All right. Any other questions about your home, any questions about your house
1:15:53
whatever. Um Because I, I don't have to go right at this minute
1:15:57
Uh I do have a consult, phone call I have to do in a little bit. Um
1:16:02
uh, this woman up in Chicago has got this very similar to Jack situation
1:16:07
That's this. I'm gonna give her the same advice. She has this covered front porch, got a big crack in it and she wants to
1:16:13
make it look better and she thinks she has to tear the whole thing out and there's some supports on it that are supporting some
1:16:19
of the roof and, and she's like she just thinks it's way more complex than it is
1:16:25
And I'm gonna give her some really great news, like, say, you're not gonna believe this
1:16:31
you're gonna be able to have this beautiful front porch. Uh, and you're only gonna put on
1:16:36
she's, she's only has to put on about an eighth of an inch, overlay, eighth of an inch
1:16:41
That's nothing just like Stucco. It's like a couple of buckets worth of flipping
1:16:46
you know, maybe three or four or five gallon buckets worth of material. So simple
1:16:50
If she lived closer, I'd come and do it for her. I would actually do it. I would love to shoot a video showing that
1:16:58
All right. Uh No, no worries. Um Mental. I, you know, I just don't know
1:17:03
So good night. It's got a great question. What's uh ok. So we
1:17:07
that's a great question. Good night. We um I've talked about that in the past but it's always good to hit it again
1:17:13
There, there are some topics that's really good to keep talking about. All right
1:17:17
me. So here's the good thing. A wood is so easy to work with. It's easy to cut
1:17:21
It's easy to fasten things to it. You can nail it, uh whatever and it's somewhat of a halfway decent insulator
1:17:28
Not the best, but it's, but it sure as hell better than metal at the trouble with metal studs
1:17:35
No, no, everything's gotta be screwed that, that becomes really problematic um With certain
1:17:45
exterior finishes. It's not problematic for putting drywall on because the drywall guys who are hanging drywall
1:17:52
they'll, they'll use screws. They don't care. It's slowly, they're using screws anyway
1:17:56
They screw the drywall up anyway. The trouble is, is that if you live either in a
1:18:02
uh, it doesn't matter which climate you're in. But the, the, the metal is such a good conductor that it
1:18:08
it'll really conduct the cold back into your home. I mean, you'll have if
1:18:13
if you, with a thermal camera like a flare camera, if you had wood stud, if you had metal studs and you were here
1:18:19
where will and I live? And it was, I don't know, five below zero outside
1:18:24
And you pointed your flipping flare to the wall. You would see these blue lines
1:18:29
man. If you put the cross hair on it, I'll bet you you'd get a reading of 40 degrees on
1:18:35
on those blue lines. Um It would be that it would, it would be so cold there
1:18:40
The, because the, the actual, the actual steel stud all the way into touching the drywall is gonna be like five below
1:18:49
zero. And then, you know, there's this battle going on in the drywall between five below and the room temperature and it averages
1:18:58
out like maybe 40. All right. So, so the, the, the steel is structurally a strong
1:19:06
uh, and it's just that you can't nail them together when you put together when you build steel wall walls
1:19:13
built, built out of metal studs, you're screwing everything you use these tiny little self tapping screws
1:19:19
Um, it's, um, the, here's, here's a good use though for him
1:19:26
I would highly recommend to somebody if you are, if you are
1:19:31
Um, if you have interior walls and you're gonna put a lot of cabinetry on them
1:19:38
uh, I would absolutely use steel studs on an interior wall, uh
1:19:43
because if you build it right and you take your time and you get it in the same plane
1:19:48
the wall is perfectly flat, perfectly flat. So it makes for a beautiful way to hang cabinets and
1:19:55
and, and so that the cabinets, you're not fighting, put cabinets together
1:19:59
Um If you have ceramic tile on a wall, it's wonderful. A tile loves to be laid on a surface that's in the same plane
1:20:07
Uh There's all kinds of benefits but never, never, never on an exterior wall in a cold climate
1:20:15
Um All right. So I hope that answers your question, Jim or Jeff's
1:20:20
What is the best countertop material that is reasonably priced? All right. Well, I hate to say it
1:20:24
uh, Laminate Formica or Wilson Art. Um, I, it's a, it's a wonderful material
1:20:30
It really is. I mean, if you just take a little care of it and the
1:20:35
the patterns now for the laminates, I mean, they are, they're so realistic
1:20:41
So I, I would not hesitate. I mean, here's the only thing you need to know
1:20:46
Here's a big mistake that people don't know about laminate if you get the countertops
1:20:51
Um, because the underside is just made out of particle board. Uh
1:20:56
whatever you have to seal that you have to put like two or three coats of urethane on it
1:21:04
And where they do the sink cut out, same thing you have got to seal that
1:21:09
Uh, the only other thing you have to always be careful of with laminate is where they miter together
1:21:14
They put a seam sealer in, but it fails. So you, you just have to watch you
1:21:19
You can't have standing water where, where a seam is that it'll get in
1:21:25
it'll cause the, the, the wood to swell and it's gonna look horrible
1:21:30
But, but if you just take reasonable care of the laminate, um
1:21:34
and don't scratch it and don't slide things across it. I've seen the laminate countertops that
1:21:41
that are 3040 years old. They look as good as the day they were put in. So I would
1:21:46
I would give Laminate a serious look. They don't get much more affordable than that revolver
1:21:54
Is it easy to take out a rear entry door and install one for simple? It's easy
1:21:58
Nothing to it. I actually have a, a set of videos that you can watch
1:22:04
Uh I, I charge for them. It's a step by step. I show you how I took out my front door and put a new
1:22:08
one in and mine was a door with two sidelights. It's the same process for a simple door
1:22:14
Um, it's really, really, really, really simple and, and you can, if you get into trouble
1:22:20
remember, you can always get me on the phone, but go, um
1:22:24
let me, actually, I'll just find it for you right now. Um, I'll just give you the link
1:22:30
Ah, I think it's, uh, I'm just gonna type in a and
1:22:42
here's the cool thing. This, this is a really cool thing about my, um, this is I
1:22:48
I have this guarantee with my products. All right. Um that you need to know with
1:22:53
with my electronic products. If you go, so revolver, if you go buy this product
1:23:02
all right, go buy this product. Watch all the videos. If after you watch the videos you say the videos suck
1:23:10
I didn't learn anything or I'm not happy. I don't care what you say. I do not care what you say
1:23:16
Just say, I'm not happy. I want my money back. I'm gonna give you your money back. No questions asked
1:23:21
What have you got to lose? Zero and you've got everything to gain because you cannot wait to all the stuff
1:23:27
I tell you in these videos, I mean, it's probably an hour and a half
1:23:31
two hours worth of videos that in that product right there. So buy those videos
1:23:36
go ahead, watch them and like I said, if you don't feel they're worthwhile just say I want my money back
1:23:42
I'm not gonna argue with you. I'm just gonna say no problem, Kathy will take care of it tomorrow
1:23:48
All right, I'm gonna buy the door. Ok? But don't buy the door yet. No stop
1:23:54
Don't buy it. You gotta watch the videos because I tell you how to make sure you get the right door
1:24:01
Don't go by the V the door yet. Uh All right, Jeff said
1:24:08
uh, great answer it. Thank you, Jeff. Um, it, seriously, I'm telling you
1:24:12
Formica or Wilson Art. It's good stuff. It's good stuff. It's just that when they make that sink cut out
1:24:21
man, you have got to put five or 10 coats of urethane on that wood because if any water gets underneath the sink or the
1:24:30
guy doesn't cock it right. It's gonna ruin the top. Orange drink is here
1:24:35
You haven't been here in a while. How you doing? Great that you're here? Um All right
1:24:41
Um, any other an hour and 24 minutes feels like I say this all the time
1:24:46
It feels like five minutes to me. It's crazy. Will says we're gonna be playing golf soon
1:24:54
I don't know, man. I see a lot of snow out there still. I, I cannot wait to
1:25:03
play golf on this course of Wills. Where Will Will? Is a ranger
1:25:10
Um, go, go look it up. It's, it's, I think, isn't it Fox Ridge
1:25:13
Is that what it's called? Will I can, I, I'm sure if that's what it is Fox Ridge
1:25:18
it's down in, you know, Southwester Maine. And, um, I want you to look at it
1:25:27
on Google Maps or look at her on the course. If, if they got photos, look at hole number five is all I can tell
1:25:31
you. And, and you know what the course designer, the guy must have been
1:25:40
a sadist. I'm serious, a sadist because I'm quite confident that when you drive into this golf course and you drive into the parking
1:25:50
lot, you're looking right at flipping hole number, the green of hole number five
1:25:55
And I mean, it's just like, it's like, um, it's like the golf course is trash talking to you before you even get your shoes
1:26:04
and sticks out of the car. Like, are you kidding me? Um All right
1:26:11
Um Will says he had replaced the cement board already. I don't know what
1:26:15
oh, here you go. There you go. I see it up above what is a good sealer for the cement board that surrounds
1:26:24
my skylights? Um, I can't even imagine someone putting
1:26:34
cement board around skylights. I'm not, I'm serious. Like, what the hell
1:26:42
Ok. Um, and you had to replace ho how? There's, there's no way it's cement board
1:26:48
then you say you had to replace it. If it's true, cement board, the water is not gonna harm
1:26:53
The cement must not be a cement board, but I'm gonna answer your question about the mildew
1:26:58
Here's what's going on. Ok. So the skylights get cold, hot
1:27:08
air rises, the hot air in the wintertime got humidity in it
1:27:13
The water condenses on the skylights and runs down it. Uh And plus you just have a high humidity area up in this enclosed area
1:27:22
where the skylight tunnel is. And the reason that mildew is growing is because of the water and the
1:27:30
and this is a pain in the ass. We talked about this a couple of weeks ago
1:27:34
If you don't, if you don't want mildew, you have to stop the water or you have to keep the surfaces really clean because you
1:27:41
have to remove the food that the mildew is eating. Both of those are hard to do in a
1:27:47
in a skylight area. Very hard to do. Now, one thing you might do
1:27:51
but then this waste electricity is you can have a fan, you can have a fan that's blowing air up towards the skylight which that
1:28:00
moving air will evaporate the fine fog that's on the walls of the skylight tunnel so that the mildew won't grow
1:28:09
You can do that good night. I I'll tell you what you guys are typing all these weird symbols in
1:28:16
I do not know what that stuff means of some type of code language. I do not understand it shorthand
1:28:22
I guess some type of flipping alien space language. Um All
1:28:33
right. So I do not understand what Goodnight is doing. I have no idea what it is
1:28:38
All right. It doesn't matter. Um, it's a guy flipping a table
1:28:43
It's a, oh my gosh. Uh, anyway, I don't
1:28:52
that's amazing. It's flipping. Amazing. You can do that. Flipping. Amazing cement board flipping
1:28:57
Ok. Got it. All right. So mildew and mold. I, we talked about this
1:29:05
It's just like fire. When fire, you need three things, you need fuel
1:29:09
you need heat and you need oxygen. Mix those things in the right way and you get fire
1:29:15
All right. Just like this. All right. Here's my new tow hill
1:29:21
right? Fire bingo. All right. Mold
1:29:32
They'll do same thing. Three things you need mold spores. They're everywhere
1:29:37
inside, outside your, the inside of your home, inside of your apartment. Millions of them
1:29:41
they're everywhere. Can't get rid of them, can't get rid of them. You need food
1:29:47
it's everywhere. All right. There are different types of mold, milda. They eat different things
1:29:51
Some of them eat dust. Some of them love sugar. All right
1:29:56
So if you spill, have you ever spilled some? A soft drink and
1:30:01
and didn't know it was spilled or whatever and you come back a day or two later, it's all black there
1:30:04
Bingo, man. That's the sugar, the sh some they do and mold
1:30:08
Love, love, love sugar. Then the only other thing it needs is water
1:30:12
All right. Well, in bathrooms. All right, we talked about this. This is really important
1:30:18
This goes back to Jack or, uh, whatever his name was, Mike two weeks ago
1:30:23
about the Pumas stone in toilets when you take a shower in your bathroom
1:30:32
Ok. I'm gonna stop right here. Remember when I said you need to start paying it
1:30:37
It's too late though. It's too late. Remember when you should have paid attention in flipping physics class in high school should have paid attention
1:30:46
What a flipping mistake. All right, you gotta take a shower and
1:30:56
before you, before you turn the water on, everything in the room is fine. The uh gla the windows are fine
1:31:03
It's wintertime, winters are fine. The mirror is fine. The mirror is clear. Now
1:31:10
the mirror, if you have a mirror like on a medicine cabinet or a mirror like in my bathroom
1:31:15
that is away from the wall. What temperature is the mirror? What temperature is the glass
1:31:27
What is it the same temperature as the interior surface of the wallboard in the room
1:31:38
What temperature is the ceiling? You know, if there's just a room up above it's the same temperature as the glass on
1:31:47
the mirror, same temperature. So when you get out of the shower
1:31:54
what's the mirror look like? It's all fogged up? Is there fog on the wall and the ceiling
1:32:04
Yes or no. And you wonder why you have
1:32:13
mold and mildew problems in bathrooms? All right. So how can you stop it or minimize it
1:32:20
I know you don't like this. Your wife might not like it. It doesn't matter. Well
1:32:24
you have two choices. You can either say we're gonna have motor mildew or we're gonna put up with this fan
1:32:29
You know, the fan I'm talking about this simple little $29 fans. You can buy it
1:32:34
Wally World. The stupid they sit on a table and they, you know
1:32:42
they're about this diameter, you know, and they go back and forth and they blow
1:32:48
have one of those in the closet while you're getting dressed. Turn that damn thing on
1:32:53
Leave that, leave the bathroom door open, get that fan going evaporate that flipping water off the walls as fast as possible
1:33:03
You do that no more. No mildew. Nothing about this is hard
1:33:10
That's good. I'm telling you. We're gonna, that I'm getting t-shirts made. That's the first t-shirt I'm making nothing about
1:33:14
This is hard. That's what can you tell how much fun I'm having
1:33:24
with these live streams. Too bad. Jason. Jason, maybe I, maybe I should be a flipping slip if you guys got the word out there
1:33:32
and told people how entertaining it was. Maybe we'd have 1000 or 2000 or 10,000 people watching
1:33:38
So you need to help just so you gotta watch this crazy guy
1:33:42
this crazy old goat in the afternoon, man. You gotta watch this guy
1:33:50
Yes, the hat version. We're gonna have a hat. We're, I'm gonna be the first one to buy one
1:33:57
I'm your biggest fan. I, oh, I love it. Oh my God
1:34:01
Write that down. I gotta write that down. Wait a minute. Oh, my gosh
1:34:10
That is hilarious. I have a fan. You could, that, you could get some mileage out of it
1:34:20
Orange Street. He's here for the comedy. Oh, my gosh. Well, if Kathy were here
1:34:27
I'm serious, Cathy would say you are wasting your time. She does not think I'm funny at all
1:34:34
Marcus, how you doing Marcus? I didn't know you've been here um for bathrooms
1:34:40
you get extractor fans that. Yes. Yes. Yes, you're right. Um So yes
1:34:48
Yes. All right. The trouble is so we, they're great bath fans
1:34:53
I, I've got, do you have to, you wanna see um bathroom fan videos and like the ones I put my daughter's home
1:34:59
I got videos on my website. The trouble is they do not move enough air fast enough to evaporate the
1:35:07
the, the, the that fog off the walls. You need to get that wa fog off there fast
1:35:12
fast. Uh Asked the, I suck at telling jokes. I, I am the
1:35:19
I don't understand the whole timing part. I suck at it. I am so bad and I
1:35:25
I have such great respect for comics. I'm serious. They are just like some of them are so flipping funny
1:35:32
Are you kidding me? Oh my gosh. His wife locks him in the room
1:35:39
Oh my gosh. OK. Um I've had enough for today and I'm gonna get ready
1:35:46
I gotta do a console call here of that, that wonderful woman up in the Chicago area
1:35:50
Um She is gonna be so happy, you know, I love, love
1:35:55
love doing um some of these consult calls. Uh Here's what happens when someone orders a consult call for me
1:36:02
Um I, I either text them or we send them an email and I always say the same thing
1:36:06
I say thanks for the order. Uh Do you have any photos of the problem? Because you know
1:36:10
pictures worth 1000 words. Uh And in 25 words, just tell me what the problem is and then they send it to me and in
1:36:18
situations like this, sometimes I'll reply back. I'm gonna say I have got such good news for you because sometimes some
1:36:27
of these console calls I do a person is faced where they're in a situation where they think they have to spend tens of thousands
1:36:34
of dollars. I'm serious, tens of thousands of dollars and I come back and say you're not gonna believe this
1:36:40
We're gonna solve this for like 200 bucks. I mean, tell me that wouldn't make your day
1:36:46
All right. So I love doing those cons consult calls like that
1:36:52
Um Jason says, did you hear about the circus fired out west
1:37:02
I don't know what that means. Circus fire. Uh Maybe you mean circus fire
1:37:06
I mean, I know out west they, they name the fires like they, they
1:37:10
they, they, um, they name them names. Um, I do not know
1:37:15
I don't know what you're talking about. I'm sorry, the only fire that I know about that's really hit me hard
1:37:21
Uh, was the Yarnell fire? The one where those 14 firefighters died about 56 years ago
1:37:28
Horrible. H July July 4th July 3rd Yarnell Arizona. Read
1:37:38
second line. The flames were intense. Ok. All right. I'm a little slow today
1:37:44
All right. Oh my God. All right. OK. I'm gonna get out of here
1:37:52
Uh All right. Come on, you
1:38:01
gotta keep it clean. Ok. Did you hear about the circus? Fired out
1:38:05
Oh my gosh. All right. Gotta go. Thanks for being here. Thanks for putting up with me
1:38:14
today. Uh I hope it was a good stream. Like I said
1:38:18
it would be, wouldn't it be awesome to have 100 people or 1000 people here? Maybe we'll get it one day if we don't
1:38:23
we don't, we don't Alan. Howdy. Good. We have these lurkers and you finally come in at the last second
1:38:32
Good for you. Uh, Alan, where do you live real fast if you don't mind
1:38:36
Um Are you in the UK? Uh real fast? Just curious. I'm just curious
1:38:42
Ok, Jason, I'll see you orange drink. I'll see you. I'm gonna be out of here too in just a minute
1:38:46
Um Trying to figure out. So just Alan just real quickly. What country are you in if you just don't mind telling me
1:38:52
Uh, thank you. Good night for putting the Discord in there. Um
1:38:57
all right. Maybe he's not gonna put it in. Uh, I'll let, I'll give you a
1:39:02
uh, oh, Ireland. Great. Um, I love Ireland. It's on my bucket list
1:39:08
I really wanna go to Ireland and the UK too. I, uh, my wife
1:39:13
my wife's a big Irish big her, you know, I'm not gonna tell you her maiden name because of security reasons
1:39:20
Um, but Irish is gonna be all right. So, um, all right
1:39:26
Alan, thanks for being here. I tried to do the live streams. I know it's a little late for you
1:39:30
I know that right now. Um, try to do the live streams every day about four o'clock eastern
1:39:36
which would be, um, well, now I'm trying to think it would be four hours
1:39:41
so maybe eight or nine o'clock your time. Uh Anyway, crutch word
1:39:45
I'm gonna get out of here. I gotta go. I got a lot of there. There's Discord notifications
1:39:50
there's all kinds of stuff going on. Join the Discord. If you have not joined the Discord do it
1:39:54
I've got a lot of, uh, uh, text messages I got to deal with and I gotta talk to
1:39:59
uh, Chrissy. I gotta talk to Chris. All right, I'll let you know what Chrissy said tomorrow
1:40:04
Thanks so much for being here. I'm Tim Carter. You've been watching the builder and
1:40:09
um, 10, it's 10 o'clock right now. Ok. So, yeah, you're, um
1:40:14
four hours now. You're four hours ahead. Exactly. I should have known that because I've got my ham radio clock on the wall and right
1:40:20
now, you know, universal time is four hours different than our time
1:40:24
So, you're right. Ok. Thanks very much for being here. I'm Tim Carter
1:40:29
ask the builder right there and, um, thanks for being here. Will everybody
1:40:34
Good night, Orange Jason Allen had a lot of people here today
1:40:40
Uh Thanks for being here, really appreciate it. I'm Tim Carter and I'll be back tomorrow
