Hi, I'm Tim Carter from Ask the Builder.com
0:03
My wife and I bought this beautiful piece of heaven 90 acres in New Hampton, New Hampshire, back in April of 2006
0:11
You're looking at the gorgeous view to the south, and I'm here today with my buddy Fred Hofmeister
0:16
He's the realtor who sold us the piece of ground. Fred and I are going to walk through the property, show you some of its beauty, and especially the waterfalls
0:24
Wait do you see him. Two beautiful, gorgeous waterfalls here, just down on the lower end of the property
0:30
Here it comes, have a good time. Okay, now we're standing where I think that the house would be just behind me and over my right shoulder
0:38
And you can see this view, you know, starting a little cloudy. But look at that color out towards there
0:44
And that's the kind of view you'd have from the house. I mean, tell me that doesn't rule the world
0:50
Just imagine it. And some of those lower trees down there, you could just trim a few of those
0:54
And you're going to see that beautiful conservancy ground over there on that hill. and right basically through these trees I think is where Carter Mountain is
1:02
You know that where that Carter Mountain Road is up that way So what do you think Fred I think it absolutely awesome Oh yeah look at that view look at those colors Yeah
1:18
Imagine what this is like when it really rains
1:29
So this is, in my opinion, the best of the waterfalls right here
1:33
The water has got to be all here where you're, I'm pointing
1:38
Beasley got to come this high in a big rain. This is just totally filled with water where I'm standing
1:43
I'd probably be under two, three feet of water in a heavy rain where I'm standing right now
2:03
All right, up there at the top, in the center of the frame, that's the base of where we just were
2:10
That's the bottom part of what you could see. So the water then continues down to here to like a second waterfall and that waterfall there is maybe oh I don know six feet high and it comes down around here
2:27
keeps going and then here's that real long straight gorge part of the stream you can actually see this
2:36
on the plat. Look back up at the trees and then pan around slowly
2:44
You're going to see Fred in a minute. Now you're looking downstream, 150 feet or so
2:51
But you can still see, you know, these little rivulets here coming down
2:57
And then here, and then there's a big pool right here we're going to go down too
3:02
Look at that pool. There's the stream coming down. That's maybe four feet high waterfall total from that top upper pool down to this lower one
3:13
And then there's this pool and then right there is where the water charges over to make the giant fall
3:22
Look down here That the big giant fall You can see that a long way down
3:34
It's where it hits. And this tree's in the way right here
3:39
There's that other big tree that's in the way. And of course, you know, the stream just goes down that way
3:47
I don't know about you, but I think the waterfalls just rule of the world
3:52
We're walking back up from the falls now. This is the typical forest in the middle of the property
3:57
Pretty dense, but in the wintertime it's got great visibility. But falls my favorite season
4:01
Look at all the color. It's absolutely gorgeous. The land was cleared up near the top so that you could get the view to the south
4:08
But of course, all that will be cleaned up when I get ready to build the home
4:11
And of course, you want to stay tuned to AsktheBuilder.com to watch the progress of construction
4:15
I'm Tim Carter for AsktheBuilder.com. Here you go. Enjoy these waterfalls. I'm
