Well, welcome to Ask the Builder and today's live stream
0:07
It's great to be here, and I think we're going to have a really great
0:14
I don't know how long. 30 minutes, an hour. Who knows? We'll see where it goes
0:19
I've been waiting for today because I, if you've been here before
0:26
you may have noticed, you may notice there's a couple of subtle changes. in the background. So I did a test of this yesterday. And I, of course, I read this because it was kind of silly. But anyway, I've got some changes in the background. And I think it looks a little bit more cleaned up. And I'm going to have a surprise for you on Wednesday. So I don't want to break that. But the people who were part of the test yesterday gave me the thumbs up on my idea for what I planned to do. Anyway, it'll be a
1:00
surprise on Wednesday. Let's thank today's sponsor. Who else? Stain solver. Great, great company
1:07
My wife and I own it So it a powder in there that you mix with water It certified organic The ingredients are made in the USA It got the most active ingredient I allowed to put in by law If I put in any more
1:22
then they have to be one of those dangerous yellow diamond stickers on the box calling an oxidizer
1:30
It really, really does a great job of cleaning. So you just mix it with water
1:34
and anything that's water washable, stain solver will clean, simple as that
1:40
You try to split first can on a bruntlet. Yeah, I know, William
1:46
I know. That's to come. A fancier, you know, green screen. Actually, I'm working on an actual studio background with tools
1:56
It's going to be, believe me, this is just transitory. So don't
2:01
Someone else is using the space that I want to use, and that person will be gone soon
2:06
So once that happens, then I can. make a very nice place to do the live streams. But for now, let's just concentrate on me and the
2:18
information Okay So today I want to talk a little bit at first about non paint for kids And I got this idea from my oldest daughter And she asked me to repaint a scale model of a shed that I had built about six seven years ago as part of a Kickstarter project
2:41
And I'm going to give it to my granddaughter for Christmas. And it could be like a little unicorn barn
2:47
that she can play with, with, you know, some dolls or whatever. She can put anything she wants in there
2:52
but it does kind of look like a little barn, actually. It's got a, because my shed has got a six foot wide by seven foot high overhead door
3:02
I always put overhead doors on sheds. I don't like those swinging doors
3:06
They're too dangerous. They never fit right. There's nothing like a regular garage door on an outdoor shed
3:12
So that's what I have. So there's this opening. And you're going to see this
3:17
I'm actually going to show you probably this week, this scale model, because I want to
3:22
want you to see the before, and then I want you to see the after, after I paint it, using
3:28
this paint. All right. So this is the paint my daughter wanted me to use. So this is Ecos
3:36
ECOS paint and you can get to them if you want to open up another browser while I talking ecospanes All right So E and then paints plural All right So go there and look around But one of the
3:55
really neat things about this paint, one of the things I like is their transparency with the ingredients
4:02
Most paint manufacturers, if you try to find out what's in their paint, it's like pulling teeth
4:08
I mean, it's not easy. But once you kind of dig through their website, once you get to a paint page, if you look, it was very easy for me to find what the ingredients were
4:20
And of course, this is a quart of the paint. And of course, you probably can't see that too well, but that's kind of a light pink
4:28
That's my granddaughter's favorite color at the current time. And here's a, you can also get from them if you want to try out colors
4:36
So you can get these small sample bottles. They're only two ounces
4:44
So ask them about the little sample bottles. And, you know, of course, it's got the color on the back and the name and, you know, whatever
4:53
But ask them about the little samples so you don't get a quart and then find outanas
