I'm Tim Carter and I'm trying to adjust my machine here
0:07
It's great to be here today and I'm glad you're here too
0:12
So thanks very much for joining the live stream today. And it's going to be a really pretty good one, I think
0:20
I'm pretty excited about showing you this new mechanics tool set. I'll talk about it in a few minutes
0:26
But before we go any farther, let's thank today's sponsor, stain solver. Great company. I own it with my wife. It's a magic certified
0:38
organic oxygen bleach, and it's a powder that you mix with warm or hot water, and you get this
0:45
solution. It looks just like water. And all I can tell you is that it cleans just about anything
0:51
And I mean, it'll get out stains that other things will not get out. It'll get out tough
0:58
Like if you've ever spilled red wine on a tablecloth or on a carpet, you know how hard that is to get out
1:05
Well, Stainz terribly gets it out. It's not even a problem. It's color safe. It's fabric safe
1:10
It really really a good product That great I just applause from a studio audience It is a really good product I telling you we been selling it for 25 years
1:22
And I should have worked harder in that business, be honest with you
1:27
Actually, it's kind of an interesting business lesson here, if you want to know the truth
1:34
So here I started as the builder all those years ago back in 19
1:39
I started online in 1995 and was all excited about it. I had built my whole career. That was my
1:48
passion. And then I start this tiny little cottage business stain solver. Well, I didn't take any
1:55
business classes in college. And if I could go back in time, I would have. And anyway
2:01
the lesson is most businesses would give their eye teeth to know the name, address, phone number
2:17
email address of their customers. I mean that why a lot of these big companies started these quote loyalty programs Maybe your grocery has one where if you give your name and address and whatever an email address then you get this little card And every time you buy groceries you get some
2:36
money off. So they want to be able to contact you. Think how many businesses have customers walk
2:43
in each day, buy things, and then they walk out the door. They have no idea who their customers are
2:47
but they wish they knew who they were so that they could remark it to them and let them know about
2:52
deals and sales and all this other stuff. All right. Well, think of Ask the Builder. I don't have a clue
2:58
who comes to my website each day. I don't have a clue who you are if you're watching my videos
3:04
You're all, you're invisible. Well, Stan Solver, I know everybody. So I should have put a lot more time
3:10
in Stain Solver. It doesn't matter. Water over the dam. It's a lesson learned. All right. Hi, Dustin
3:14
How you doing? Oh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. You're going to see this socket set here in a minute, and no doubt it's made in China
3:27
I don't know. It's a shame that they don't make them in Gastonia, North Carolina anymore
3:32
What, you know, oh, well. But standby, we're going to talk about it in just a minute
3:36
So anyway, Stain Solver, great product. You just go to the Stain Solver website and look at all the videos Type in a keyword phrase like pet odor carpet
3:50
Actually, that's a really interesting one. Type in carpet and look at the before and after pictures that Justin sent in
3:58
He's a professional carpet cleaner that used the stain solver. This photo that he sent in, I would have just ripped the carpet out
4:04
I would have given it no hope. Wait till you see the before and the after. It's amazing
4:08
All right, let's talk about this crazy craftsman 216 piece mechanics set
4:16
All right, I told you, I've told you before on previous live streams
4:19
I get contacted almost daily by public relations people. They're trying to pitch the company products
4:29
You know, either they work for the company or they represent the company. Over the 20, it's really hard to believe
4:35
Over the 28 years I've been doing Ask the Builder, I have learned, or I should say I have discovered the best way to sort the wheat from the chaff
4:45
And most of the PR people I deal with, they're not great
4:50
All right. So it doesn't matter. All that matters is in this particular instance, about two weeks ago, when someone from Thanks
#Chemicals Industry
#Cleaning Agents
#Construction & Power Tools
#Consumer Resources
