Okay, good afternoon. I'm Tim Carter, and thanks for joining the live stream. I want to let you know that
0:08
today's going to be a little different. We're going to dive deep into the topic of why your house is cold
0:14
All right. And I'm going to give a bunch of reasons. I'm going to go into a little bit of the theory of heating
0:20
so that you understand what's really in play. And then, you know, how to get warm, how to solve a lot of those issues
0:28
But first, today's live stream, you already know who this is going to be, right
0:33
Stain solver. Stain solver, it's a great, great powdered. I'm trying to shake it in there
0:39
It's a powder that you mix with water. It's certified organic. It's an oxygen bleach
0:45
It will clean, deep clean, anything that's water washable. That's all I've got to know
0:49
I mean, if you can get something wet with water, I don't care what it is
0:53
It doesn't matter. You can clean it with stain solver. It's that simple. So just go to stainsolver.com, watch a bunch of the videos
1:01
If that doesn't convince you that it works, nothing will. So it's that simple
1:07
The chat is working really well. That's good. Here what I like If you can keep your chat questions today to the topic of what I talking about at first that would be great In other words don ask me about how to fix your concrete
1:22
You know, don't ask me about a roof leak. If we finish a little early, like if we get done at like 20 after 4, I'm happy to answer any of those random questions
1:31
But as I talk, if there's something you don't understand, go ahead and chat in a question
1:38
and I'll do my best to kind of stop right there and answer it. So don't be bashful
1:42
Go ahead and ask. But like I said, try to keep them on topic. I'd appreciate that
1:46
Love Stainsilver. Yeah, I use it all the time. It is. It's a great product
1:50
It really is. Stain solver is a fantastic product. And I'll just say this. You know, these little sample bottles, they're very affordable
1:57
You don't have to invest a lot of money. And it tells you exactly how to use it
2:02
Each one of them, it comes with this really magical little card, and it's got a couple of really great tips on it
2:07
But the thing is, it really does work. All right, okay, thanks, Roger
2:11
Yeah, I didn't think there would be. I'll bring that up really quickly. I've had several people talk to me about getting live captioning working during the stream
2:21
And they say you know they hearing impaired and they can hear me Well here the good news As soon as the live stream is over YouTube processes the video and they have artificial intelligence software that automatically
2:37
closed captions what I'm saying. But doing it live while I'm doing it, that's a stretch. I mean
2:47
I think there is software out there that doesn't, but on this interface that I use, I haven't seen it
2:51
So if you are hearing impaired, I'm sorry about that. My hearing is not the best, but I can still hear pretty well
3:00
But just, you know, bear with me or maybe watch the replay, you know, in 45 minutes
3:07
And you'll see the closed captions. Okay, let's get started. Why is your house cold
3:14
Well, let's kind of run down the major reasons. I mean, the big ones, right
3:19
There could be a lot of reasons. But the first one is usually it's just not insulated that well
3:25
All right. So that makes sense. I mean, imagine if you walked into a big steel building, you know, maybe it's a barn on a farm or just an airplane hanger that's not insulated
3:39
And it a cold winter day It going to be pretty cold inside that steel building You know maybe you outdoor shed You know you typically don insulate sheds And yeah okay KA we going to I going to help you
3:51
out here. Yep, we're going to just pay attention. You're going to, you're going to learn a lot
3:57
I think. All right. So, lack of insulation. You already know that if you insulate something
4:04
really, really well, you slow down the transfer of heat. And that's all that insulation does
4:09
that's the only job it's supposed to serve is insulation slows the transfer of heat
4:15
It doesn't stop it, but it slows it down. If you really want to stop a lot of heat transfer, you would use a radiant barrier
4:22
That's why you see up in space the satellites, the astronauts, you know, they have those
4:30
spacesuits on and they're very reflective, even the gloves. You ever thought about it
4:35
Think about the gloves that astronauts wear. So it's really, really cold up in space
4:40
And so, you know, they think how come their fingers aren't frostbitten
4:47
All right? Or vice versa, when they're standing in the sun, like up on the moon, they can get really hot
4:53
They can overheat. Okay, so the reason why is they have different layers of radiant barriers in
