Hi, I'm Tim Carter from Ask the Builder.com and guess where I'm at
0:07
I'm at the Delta Showroom here in the merchandise market in Chicago, Illinois, and I've got
0:12
with me Kelly Lytton, the manager of this facility. Kelly, thanks for having us here
0:17
Yeah, thank you for coming in. I'm so happy you did. So tell us a little bit about what we got here
0:23
Well, I'll tell you, this is our flagship showroom for Delta Fossackney Company and we built
0:28
the showroom, just opened it in May of this year. We figured Chicago was a perfect place to put
0:34
something like this. It's centrally located for the country. We're close to our main headquarters
0:39
in Indianapolis, and we're also at the merchandise market, which is almost a mecca for people
0:44
who come in and shop and design and work on different things for the home. One of the nice things
0:50
about putting a showroom in a market like this is we're very urban. We're in the middle of
0:55
downtown Chicago. Delta really is focusing on urban penitaphent. and getting the word out about the products that we have in the big cities
1:04
Wow, so it's really a beautiful showroom. Let's walk around and look at a few things
1:08
I just want to show you how cool this is. Come on, come home. The wonderful thing about our showroom is really everything works
1:14
So you can operate shower systems by hitting icons. So I can go in here like a shower
1:20
You could if you wanted to, but it's all cold water, so I wouldn't suggest it
1:24
But try it. Hit one of the icons or hit all of them. Oh, really
1:28
See what happens? Oh, look at that. Check that out. You can turn them off. Oh, can you believe that
1:38
Tell me this isn cool I mean you can actually test the Delta faucets in real time and see how they work So this works too This is just a play here but if you come over all right at this time let me show you something that really cool and very innovative One of the things that Delta is very famous for is our technology an innovative technology
1:56
So you've heard of touch faucets. Yes. We've had those in the kitchen for many
1:59
years. We've just transitioned touch to the bathroom this year. So we
2:04
have Touch XT. So here's a touch faucet. I can touch it on. I can touch it off
2:09
But we've taken it a step further, and I don't even have to touch it. All I need to
2:13
do is have my hand within about four inches. So approximately, but did that work with this or two
2:17
That'll work with that one as well, yeah. Yeah, I see the blue light coming on. Oh yeah, we got it. Yeah
2:22
So we can touch it off. Touch it on. Touch it on. Touch it off
2:26
Now get close. Oh, look at that. Oh, and then when you pull your hand away, of course
2:31
just like the airport, you know, stops, yeah. So the nice thing is, if you're doing something like brushing your teeth
2:36
and you just want to wet the toothbrush, you're not letting that faucet run and run and run
2:40
the whole time you're brushing your teeth. It's water when you need it. Right. germ-free because you're not touching the faucet all the time plus it saves you on maintenance you don't have to clean as well
2:49
It's a beautiful showroom. It's just unbelievable So yeah take a look at it. It's really really awesome here
2:56
I just can't believe it All right Kelly, thanks very much Thanks for telling us all about the Delta plans here at the merchandise art
3:06
