Laying ceramic tile floors will look great if you follow my tips below. Be sure the floor joist spacing is correct for laying tile. The subfloor or underlayment must be a thick enough plywood or a cement board that the tile above it won't crack. Make sure if you are using plywood that you leave expansion room to keep the floor from buckling and breaking the tiles.
Removing grout from ceramic tile showers and tubs can be done without tile removal. It is a job done by hand or with a small electric grinder. You will need a lot of patience before you start grouting tile again. Be careful not to scratch your ceramic tile.
Put a ceramic shower seat in your bathroom. Make it attractive and waterproof. Shower stall seats are a great convenience. Make them out of cultured marble, ceramic tile, marble, granite or solid surface countertop material.
Water pressure causes noise problems. Water hammer is due to water pressure against faucets, valves or sidewalls of pipes. Solve it with larger piping.
Ceramic tile installation in your bathroom can be a great remodeling job. Be sure your waterproof wall behind the tile is cement board. Consider installing a seamless vapor barrier, also.
