Sump and Backup Pump Manufacturers

I don't know how many sump pumps are out there in the public domain, but it has to be in the millions. When you start talking these kinds of numbers and the many needs and uses, you would expect to see numerous manufacturers. I was able to dredge up the names and numbers of eight sump pump manufactures who make pumps for the residential market. Some or all of them may be available in your city or town. The odds are that you will only find three or four of the manufacturers represented in your area. You can locate the pumps by visiting several places. The first place to go is a plumbing supply house. This is where plumbers buy their pipes, fixtures, hot water heaters and such. You can also visit a hardware store or a home center store. If you want to find where a specific pump is distributed, simply call the manufacturers listed below. They should be able to quickly tell you who handles their products in your area.

Of the manufacturers listed below, three of them dominate the U.S. marketplace. These three are Myers, Hydromatic, and Zoeller. This doesn't mean that the others don't make a suitable sump pump. Personally, I have had the most experience and luck with Zoeller pumps. The primary reason for this rests in the fact that Zoeller is sold by the plumbing supply house I frequent! I have installed hundreds of sump pumps in my building career. All have performed superbly. I urge you to call the manufacturers below and ask for product literature. They will be happy to assist you!
