Thank you. I never knew that the beveled edge of the chisel should be
facing down, but now I see how it acts as a stop so the chisel doesn't dig
too deep. Very nice video! Thanks for your service to mankind.

I didn't know about keeping the beveled side of the chisel down, either.
Great tip!
But it's fairly easy to do this when the grain of the wood you're working
with is perfectly horizontal, as with the door in the video. What do you
do when the grain isn't ideal and causes the tip of the chisel to either go
too deep or too shallow?
