Facebook Survey Thank You
Thanks for taking the Facebook Survey.
I'm really curious about your use of Facebook and want to see if it confirms my suspicions.
This will help me make the newsletter better as I don't want to hassle you with Facebook stuff if you don't like Facebook.

re Facebook survey:
> I'm a computer programmer with almost 40 years of experieince. I'm a geek.
> First signed up for Facebook 2 years ago for an electronic seminar.
> I have about 6 Facebook "friends".
> I rarely and barely use Facebook. I actually talk to my friends.
> Face Broke (SIC) is notoriously unsecure; both by design and because people aren't careful.
> I post almost nothing
and here's the big one:
> If I "like" a company because you ask me to, that is somewhat akin to the ridiculous "surveys" from companies; the ones where they expect you to answer with a "10" to every question. Both give a false sense of reality - it ain't right.
Steve,
Great reply. You're not alone in your feelings about Facebook and the whole LIKE thing.
On your survey this week, you asked if I use Facebook. Since I don't use it, I said "No." But your 4th question "If you use Facebook, tell me why you go there? CHECK all that APPLY.", there's no option for a "I don't use Facebook". Thus, when Submitting the survey, one has to pick one of the options in order to finish submitting. There's no way to pass on that question. Tsk… just a small error. Smiles
Yes, I goofed up the logic. Once the survey starts, I can't fix it.
Hi, Tim. Just a short note about the Facebook survey. I LOVE your website and insight, but I prefer to personally tell my close friends/family about you. Quite frankly, I keep my Facebook friends to a tight minimum, but even then, there are some I like to keep at arms length. Also, I don't want backdoor sales pitches from friends, ergo I don't want to send the same to them. Just wanted to clarify that sharing your wonderful wisdom is a great thing...it's the method that I'm particular about. Love you!!
Hi Tim, I don't want to be bothered by facebook so I don't have an account. I did fill out your survey. My answers may be confusing because I do use facebook. My husband and Mom have an account so I use their accounts on the rare occasion I want to look at something. Subsequently I don't feel I can like or dislike while I'm on their accounts. btw my husband hates facebook. He got talked into an account to keep up with family. He rarely looks at it either. Thanks for your weekly newsletter. Good Day, Debbie
Hello Tim I really like this site and enjoy your articles and just did the facebook survey and just wanted to say also ilke the reply above I prefere to tell my friends about you also if they are interested as all of them probrobly dont have any interest in this,I would like to tell them and do not want them to get any e mails or be contacted by anyone, not to say that they will but just my thoughts,Thanks for everything you do here on this site as I really enjoy it
Facebook is a horrible addiction, and hard to shake. My wife hates it, and I tend to agree with her. That said, there are times when I find out more about my family THERE than by phone or snail mail... Another "necessary evil."
your survey did not leave a comment space, nor an option to question "if you use facebook...." ; when I have an account, but do not use it.
I know. I goofed up the logic. You can't change it once it's started.
Hi Tim... I just finished your facebook survey. I do live in the US, but wanted you to know I really am an alien from Jupiter. I just needed to come clean on that one. Thanks for such a fun survey!
You must love it here. Much less gravity!
