I have a home in Southport, NC with a serious water drainage problem mostly to the rear of the property. In addition to lots of standing water in the rear and side yard, there's a mini lake in the crawl space whenever there's a heavy rain. The lot is basically flat, soil is sandy, and the water table is high. What would you recommend? Should I have a trench drain installed inside the crawl space with a sump pump? Or, should just install a drain system around the exterior of the foundation wall? Are there any contractors near Southport NC 28461 that you would suggest?
