Very good and interesting video. With the costs today of labor and materials the mortise and tenon method would be very cost prohibiting to today's house buyers. Keep up the good work.
I've worked on some homes with this style of mortise/tenon joist configuration in Richmond, Hanover and Chesterfield County, VA. I am retired now, but can reinforce your opinion that these older carpenters before us were pretty darn smart. And tough!
