    When the framing is up, and before drywall is applied, I like to run a 2 inch flexible tubing from the attic down to the basement to be used to install cables, etc. that might be required at a later date. This can save considerable time and annoyance in the future.

    And I agree to the comment policy.

    Here are some more Hacks;
    Install a 3 way or 4 way switches in bedroom and by door/s to LED spot lights on all corners of your home to be able to illuminate the complete outside of your home, for walks or security.

    Ditch the OEM fan in Microwaves and stove hoods and install an inline remote fan near the outlets to keep the fan noise down in the kitchen. Same for bathroom fans

    Trust me, forget the wireless speakers unless you have a small home. A larger home will cause nothing but headaches as you favorite tune drops out in the furthest room away from the source, run proper speaker wire to each room, including the garage, along as you stated Ethernet wire cat 6 or higher. Don’t forget to run coax cable to the garage and Kitchen at the same time

    For the serious gamers and or music lovers, dedicate a closet for all the gear. Have all the wiring terminate there along with the cable or satellite inputs. Also have Ethernet wire along with power run to the highest central area of the home

    A great storage addition is a dumb waiter type lift in the garage to allow easy access to add and remove items from the attic.
    As I am sure you would agree that all most all exterior walls should have an electrical outlet and a hose bib.
    I have a lot more ideas but need to go work on my run power to the gate with Ethernet project.
    Looking forward to reading your book

    Measure the width of a T-shirt at the hem, not at the sleeves. Hang parallel clotheslines that distance apart. This allows much more laundry to hang. Hang items between the 2 lines rather than along the lines.
