When I started to catch the redefining of words online, I went through the house and found all the paper dictionaries I could find and put them in a special place.
More recently, I have been studying the "New Left". They see language as being complicate in maintaining the existing societal superstructure that they are working to dismantle. An example is our understanding of the word "family". "Family", just 10 years ago meant a "nuclear family" to almost anyone you would be talking too. Now, we have to add modifiers so that a person understands us to mean a nuclear family when we are talking. The Gender pronouns are what they are focused on now because that is a step to our future understanding of biological sex as how it will be defined by the New Left. Control of the language is an out-growth of the "New Left's" Critical Theory. (CRT is a subset of CT) Herbert Marcuse (1898-1979) was one of the initial architects of Modern Critical Theory.
