Hi, Tim Carter. I know it's crazy. It's April 16th. I'm in my winter jacket and I wanted to take this update video for the Snowby Gone contest. I'm sorry about the wind. The reason it's windy is we had 79 degrees here two days ago, 60 degrees yesterday. And yes, 26 degrees or so as I walked out the door to take this video. This is an update for the Snowby Gone contest

Let me show you where we're at. You can't enter anymore. We cut off the entries yesterday
0:35
But for those of you who did enter, now you can see where we're at here on April 16, 2014
0:44
Let's take a look. All right, so here we are. Now, the lake is still frozen, as crazy as it sounds
0:51
The ice is really pretty thin, but the reason it's so white is we've got a dusting of snow overnight
0:56
You can see it on the ground. That area right there behind the mailbox. was bare ground yesterday afternoon
1:04
And of course you know we're looking south again. So let's just do a quick panorama
1:10
You can see all of those big piles of snow around the cul-de-sac
1:15
they're pretty much gone. There's just small little piles there. If you remember right over here
1:21
that's about where the snow was 8 feet high. And all of this yesterday was all bare ground
1:28
but the dusting of snow overnight. dusting of snow overnight. Still looks like it's winter here. It feels like it. And then of course
1:34
here's the, you know, here's the big ledge, all the big solid granite bedrock. And of course
1:42
there the last little bit of ice that coming out of the you know the bedrock And that ice there probably 18 inches thick in places And of course here are the big piles of snow that I told you that would be that would be left you know that looking up into the woods again and you know this
2:01
direction here this is due west and so you know this area once again is in
2:08
the shade by about 2 o'clock so that pile of snow directly straight ahead
2:14
that's the highest snow and I would guesstimate right now that that's just a little under six feet high
2:22
you know as I look across at it as I walk towards it. All right so there you have it
2:26
We still got a lot of snow here. You know we still got a big six foot pile
2:30
It's going to be a while so I'm just going to make my own guess just so you know
2:37
So it's April 16th and you know we had some pretty interesting weather the past three
2:44
weeks, that was three weeks ago when we take the first video, I'm going to guess, because I
2:50
haven't done it yet, but I'll just go on record right now. I'm going to say May 2nd. On May 2nd
2:55
that's the last day. There won't be hardly anything left. So we'll see who's right. We'll
2:59
see if I'm right, and I wish you the best of luck, and I'll keep you updated probably once a
3:06
week. We'll come up here and at least take a photograph. So let's have some fun. Thanks for
3:10
entering if you did. I'm Tim Carter. I'm going back inside. If you want to discover more home improvement tips, go to ask the builder.com
