I did a metal roof on my house. The flashing for the plumbing stacks were rubber with a flexible metal covereing over the edges. Really believe one couldn't do what was shown with them on the meal roof. I had to replace them too as some critter chewed them up and ended up having a metal fabricator make metal boxes that covered the boots.

I understand the detail, and I think anyone who views your video will also understand it. However, this is not something I personally would undertake, even if I had a metal roof. I believe it's the contractor who needs to understand it, and execute it properly. Do you have a hand sketch, or a metal roof/sheet metal industry standard detail for your homeowner audience to convey this idea to a prospective roofer? Or could a homeowner use your video to convey the idea? I see you have the video copyrighted. Maybe you could touch on this for your readers. Thanks.
How do you install the flashing on a roof replacement where the vent pipe that the flashing surrounds is already in place?
