Some people have a sewer gas smell in their yards. The odor comes out of the vent pipes up on the roof.

This works as long as you don't have a leak in your vent piping......I would suggest some sort of mushroom type cap so that rainwater does not enter the vent piping.

The vent pipe can clog with hoar frost. In bitter cold weather, you need every bit of the full pipe inner diameter to ensure air gets into the system. 73 W3ATB
