im installing a door in a old barn. it is not a pre hung door. I do have two good working hinges, I did plump up the hinge side of wood frame. when I close the door the top hinge is binding....I can not figure out why?

If the door is a solid wood door used on exterior of building, you should use 3 hinges where possible. Check that both hinges are tight on your 2 hinge installation. A loose lower hinge could especially cause the door to sag and you would possibly see this in door "resting" on the hinge side. There may be other causes but these might solve your problem faster if you still have it anyway.
