Sink Smells Bad Podcast 65 - Click to Listen:

Tim Carter called Renee who lives in Chicago about her smelly sink. As soon as Renee described what she does to make the sink smell bad, Tim knew the cause.

Why Does a Sink Smell Bad?

A sink smells bad because a biofilm collects on the side of the tailpiece pipe between the sink and the p-trap.

Each time you run water, the water causes mold spores to explode into the room and your FACE. The spores are ejected by a pressurized gas that smells horrible.

How Do I Get Rid of the BioFilm?

You must remove the sink stopper. Watch the video below. Then you use a bottle brush to clean the sides of the pipe.
